Saturday softball results
The Lady Bears softball team took second place Saturday in the Lamar Tournament. After losing a close game (5-2) to Sarcoxie, then beating Adrian (10-1), Adrian ended up beating Sarcoxie. With the three way tie, the Lady Bears came out on top of their pool by allowing the fewest runs to be scored against them, which put them in the Championship game. Sabrina Hill was our winning pitcher against Adrian. On the day, Tori Stauffacher was our most consistant hitter. She was 5 for 9 in the tournament. Other notable hitters were Jennifer McMurphy who had 2 doubles against Sarcoxie; Beth Coleman who had one double against Sarcoxie, and Maggie Massey, Bree Platt, and Tori McGee who all had doubles against Adrian.
