A little more info about podcasts on Bates County Live...

We live in a busy world and in an effort to better serve you, Bates County Live is now recording certain events and making them available for you to listen to at your convenience. Podcasts are a popular method to do this with audio files.

For example, we will record the broadcast of a football game from FM 92.1 the Bullet, then place the recording on our web site in the form of a podcast...

If you're not familiar with podcasts, that's ok. A podcast is simply an mp3 type recording, like the music you may already have on your computer. There are two ways to play a podcast:

1. If your media player (Windows Media Player, VLC, iTunes, etc.) is set up correctly, you can simply click on the podcast link above and the media player will open and begin playing the program. Or:

2. You can download the program to listen later using your media player. Simply right click on the podcast link and select 'download linked file'. After the file download is complete, click on it and your media player will open and begin playing the program. Or if you like, transfer the file to your iPod, cell phone or other portable media device.

If you do not have a media player installed, we can recommend QuickTime player, it's free and can be downloaded here.

To see a list of our current and upcoming podcasts, click on the Podcasts link on the right side of our home page.
