The generator is capable of generating 80 Kilowatts of electricity, enough power to keep Bates County Industries, supplied with electricity during an emergency situation in the Bates County Area. Bates County Industries facility is now the official Emergency Management Recovery Shelter, designated for Bates County.

The 80 kw Generator is portable, with transfer switches installed for switching from commercial use to generator use in the counties of : Bates County, Henry County, Johnson County and Benton County . Generator transfer switches have been installed at the following locations in the designated County; The Warsaw School , The Benton Center in Clinton , the Methodist Church in Warrensburg and Bates County Industries in Butler.

Government funds were available for the Northern Region and the Southern Region “A”. The Generator is owned by Regional “A” , but available for use when and where it is needed. The Emergency Management Agency made the decision to use the funds for the purchase of a Generator transfer switch and will be a blessing for all of the Counties, should an emergency situation arise.

A word of thanks...

I wanted to say thank you to whoever the ‘Butler Secret Santa’ was that donated a cash/coins Christmas Bucket this week. My sister has a disability and it was just the thing that she needed to brighten her day. It helped her to be able to get a few things that she needed. Thank you for your love and kindness.

Sincerely,
A thankful family
