Coach Wackermans Comments-
The chance to wrestle at home is always a great opportunity. Weve been competing since Nov 29, but this is our first time for the home fans to see the varsity team in Butler. We appreciated the support all day. Our tournament is as diverse as it has ever been at this point, bringing in teams from the northern part of Missouri, from St Louis, from the state of Arkansas. We take pride in running a strong tournament. This year was no exception. Our wrestlers competed well. I was pleased to have two individual tournament champions. Lathrop and Trenton brought very strong teams and were probably the two strongest teams at the tournament. We have now seen half of our district at the mid-point of the season. We will see the other half at the Warsaw tournament next weekend. These are the decisive weeks of the season prior to the district tournament in February. Our wrestlers had some very positive moments Saturday. We have to have an even better day next Saturday at Warsaw to set up a meaningful district and state run for our wrestlers.
