"Luck of the Draw" tickets on sale now...

The Butler Saddle Club will host the annual “ Luck of the Draw”, February 18th. Tickets to the event will be set at $80.00 per couple this year. The admission ticket entitles you to a dinner for two, a beer and wine garden and the dance that follows the dinner.

The “ Luck of the Draw” will pay out $5,250.00 dollars in cash prizes plus the 50/50 chicken drop. You must be 21 years old to participate. The annual event will be held at the Bates County Fairgrounds February 18th with doors opening at 6:30 and dinner at 7 p.m. There will be live entertainment and dancing until 1 a.m. with local band, “Breakaway”.

For ticket information or to purchase tickets, contact any member of the Butler Saddle Club or Bryan Tippie, Butler Bear Backer member at 660-679-6970. Butler Bear Backer members will be selling tickets as well.

Only 148 tickets will be sold and cash prizes awarded will be: 1- $3000.00 winner, 1- $500.00 winner, 10 -$100.00 winners, and 15-$50.00 winners.

18 highway to be closed Wednesday and Thursday...

MoDOT Traffic Alert: Route 18 CLOSED In Two
Locations East of Adrian

Where: Route 18 in Altona and Ballard

What: MoDOT crews replacing deteriorating drain pipes underneath the road in two locations

Work Schedule:
On Wed., Jan. 25 -- Road closed 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Altona.
On Thurs., Jan. 26 -- Road closed 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Ballard.

(The road will be opened at night. Work could be postponed to later dates due to weather and/or construction delays.)

NOTE: Drivers will be able to reach driveways and other roads. However, they will not be able to travel through the work zone where crews are set up. Drivers are urged to find alternate routes during the work.

Jan. 16 - Walk in assault report taken; 911 hang up in the 1000 block of W. Mill; alarm call in the 500 block of Henry; suspicious person near Austin and Walnut; theft call near High and Ohio; animal complaint near Prospect and Ohio.

Adrian Little League soccer sign ups this Saturday...

The Adrian Little League Soccer Association will be holding spring soccer sign-ups at the Adrian High School near the east gym on Saturday, January 28th from 9:30 am – 11:00 am and on Tuesday, January 31st from 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm. We will also hold sign-ups on Monday, February 6th from 6:00 pm until 7:30 pm at the Willow Creek Group Home office (old Napa building) in Adrian. The cost will be $40 and this does include the jersey. No late sign ups please.
