A great big 'Thank You'...

We'd like to take a moment to say 'thanks' to our advertisers- without you, we couldn't keep this big machine running. Thanks also goes to everyone who has placed an ad on Heartland Trader, too. We work very hard to promote the ads and sincerely hope it is working for you.

There are some exciting things in the works, too. We recently unveiled our local coupon program and plan to have it on line soon- it will be great deals from local merchants, saving you some gas money...

WE'RE VERY EXCITED TO ANNOUNCE that recently sealed a deal with Sweetjack.com so we will be able to offer tons of 1/2 price deals on everything from food to merchandise, too.

Parallel to that, we are in the process of working with Groupon.com so we can offer even more deals!

In the meantime, thanks for reading Bates County Live. We very much enjoy what we do- and we couldn't do it without you!

More heavy rain in route...

Rainfall totals from the latest storm amount to over 4 inches as of 11 a.m. today South of Virginia, with over 2.77 inches recorded in the Butler area. More rain is inbound and we're to expect as much as another 1/2 inch overnight. The storm is expected to stay with us through Friday, with clearing skies and 80's for the weekend.

Bates County and surrounding areas will remain under a Flood Watch for at least the next 24 hours.
