Driver's checkpoint results in 16 summons issued
Last Friday, the Butler Police conducted a Drivers License checkpoint in conjunction with the statewide youth seat belt mobilization. The checkpoint was conducted at Fulton and Atkinson and started at 7:15 a.m. and ended at 8 a.m. During this time officers checked 184 vehicles and issued 16 summons. Officers issued 10 summons for no drivers license on person and 6 fail to wear seat belts.

Obituary - Chad Allen Dutter
Cremation memorial services for Chad Allen Dutter will be 1 p.m. Thursday, March 29, 2012 at Victory Assembly of God Church in Adrian, Missouri with Reverend Lance Loughridge officiating. There will be no visitation. Contribution to the family.
Chad Allen Dutter, age 36 of Butler, Missouri died Friday, March 23, 2012. He was born August 26, 1975 to Doug and Judy Weeder Dutter in Des Moines, Iowa.
Chad is survived by his wife Kristi Dutter of Butler, Missouri; eight children, Kenna, Jonah, Aden, Madeline, Hannah, Audrey, Jake and Gavin; his father Doug Dutter of Iowa and two sisters, Samantha Gass of Pennsylvania and Dacia Dutter of Iowa. He was preceded in death by his mother.

Tough season opener for West Central Warriors
It was a full parking lot and with plenty of enthusiastic fans at the West Central Warriors season opener Saturday evening at Rotary Field in Butler, but it wasn't enough for a win. The Warriors fell to the Mid Missouri Regulators 40 to 18.
The next home game for the Warriors is set for April 7th with game time to be announced.
