2nd Annual Ultimate Horseman's Challenge coming next month

The Bates County Sheriff’s Posse would like to invite you to be part of the 2nd Annual Ultimate Horseman’s Challenge. The event is sanctioned by the UHCA and will be hosted again at the Bates County Fairgrounds on July 14th, 2012.

Last year we attracted several hundred people along with the 2009 and 2010 World Champions. To make this event successful we are asking for sponsorships to help cover the cost of the trophies and payouts. Because of sponsors like you this is a free event for spectators.

This event will be conducted on two separate horse tracks. Each track has 14 obstacles and we are looking for sponsorships for each obstacle. $50 sponsorship will get you one obstacle on one track, $75 will get you one obstacle on each of the two tracks.

If you are unable to sponsor financially we are also taking donations of horse related items as giveaways for the riders that register for the event.

We appreciate your consideration and hope to see you at this year’s Ultimate Horseman’s Challenge.

Sincerely,

Bates County Sheriff’s Posse

Bates County Live to celebrate 2nd birthday this month

On June 28th, 2010 we posted our very first news story. Since then we have posted some 3,948 news items and as of this minute, have gotten 1,146, 263 hits on the Bates County Live home page- just surpassing the 1 million hit mark just a short time ago.

Sorry, there won't be a big party this time... no time to plan for one as we are in the process of starting something brand new! We can't say much about what it is just yet, but as a hint, we will tell you that it's something that will help open the lines of communication for our neighbors...

Stay tuned, there's more to come!
