Many travel to see Palin and Steelman in Cass County

Former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin came to Cleveland, Mo. today to give her endorsement to Senate candidate Sarah Steelman and serve up what was quoted to be some 'dandy' barbecue  to boot.

While the general theme of the rally was a need for change in Washington, Palin spoke briefly noting the "extreme heat" in Missouri and then turned the stage over to candidate Steelman who promised to "kick those doors in and when we get to Washington, I'm going to rattle some cages."

Mid America Live has received several reports from readers who attended the event-  one from an email saying "It was really neat to have Palin here in Missouri. It's not every day you get to meet a [former] vice-presidential candidate."

Next Tuesday's primary will certainly reveal the fate of Steelman and others facing incumbent Claire McCaskill.
