for Thursday, March 28 at 7:00 p.m. at the Rich Hill United Methodist
Church. We will not have a fellowship dinner. A free will offering
will benefit area families in need.

APRIL 2ND ELECTION
Bates County will hold the April Municipal Election April 2nd. On the ballot will be School District Board Members, Proposition Safe Room, various Alderman, Ward Councilmen, Board of Aldermen and Township Levy’s.
FM-92 will broadcast live from the Bates County Courthouse with your results. Live coverage will begin at approximately 7 pm.
Election results will be posted as they arrive and announced “ live” on the 921kmoe.com website provided by the following Election Sponsors: Tiona Enterprises, Cook Insurance, Caskey, Hopkins, Wilhelmus Law Office.
Join us Tuesday Evening April 2nd as we go live to the Bates County Courthouse for Election Results. The complete ballot may be found on the 921kmoe.com website under the “Election Results”.
***** A reminder…. The Butler Chamber of Commerce will host a spaghetti dinner election night, April 2nd…. At South Side CafĂ© on the South Side of the Butler Square… the election night special will be salad, spaghetti, bread dessert and drink for $8.00 for adults and children under 12 years old will eat for $6.00.

Butler Elementary Students participate in “ Jump Rope for Hearts”
Butler Elementary School surpassed their goal and raised over $9000.00 for the American Heart Association. Grades Kindergarten through 6th grade students of the Butler Elementary School hit the streets for pledges to raise funds for the Heart Association, as they participated in the statewide “ Jump Rope for Hearts” program.
The Students set their goal for $ 5000.00, students were awarded for their endeavors Friday afternoon at an awards assembly…. Butler Elementary received honorable mention as one of the top 3 schools out of the 200 that participated in the State of Missouri to participate and raise money for the foundation.
The foundation gave mention that Butler students and teachers put their heart and soul into this presentation and gave honorable mention to Coach Allen for his creative ideas !
The 1st grade students of Butler Elementary were recognized for raising the most money. Dayton Kisner raised approximately $900.00 alone, with Ty Johnson coming in second. The Butler Elementary will recognize Dayton by naming the Elementary Gym in his honor, for a period of one year.
Congratulations to the students of the Butler Elementary School for participation in the American Heart Association’s “ Jump Rope for Hearts” Fund Raising competition..

Butler Masonic DeMolay Fundraising Dinner March 28th in Butler
DeMolay is an organization dedicated to preparing young men to lead successful, happy, and productive lives. Basing its approach on timeless principles and practical, hands-on experience. DeMolay opens doors for young men ages 12 to 21 by developing the civic awareness, personal responsibility and leadership skills so vitally needed in society today. March is DeMolay Recognition Month and Bates County has our own Chapter 13, Brothers DeMolay. They are celebrating with a Fundraising Ham Dinner on Thursday March 28th at the Butler Masonic Lodge at 6 pm. $7.00 for adults and $5.00 for children and the dinner includes ham, green beans, cheesy potatoes, roll, dessert and drink! Carry out will be available. Plan on attending the dinner or supporting the chapter with a donation!
Stoplight in Butler Not working
The stoplights at the corner of Fran and Ft.Scott are not working properly since the power went out yesterday. The state has been notified and are sending someone to fix the light and to look at the other light at the corner of Ft. Scott and Orange Street. Please use caution when traveling through the light
