The West Central Warriors lost their first game of the season last night to the Mid- West Monsters 72-36
. This was a hard hitting and action packed game. The Warriors are now 2-1 early on in the season. They will travel to Excelsior Springs Saturday night and take on the Missouri Mustangs in what should be a great football game. The game starts at 6pm and is a Excelsior Springs High School. They will be back home on May 4th at 6pm to take on the Farley Braves.

Strong Storm Possible

Another warm day is expected as temperatures climb into the 70s. By this afternoon, a few scattered thunderstorms may form over southeastern Kansas and parts of western Missouri. Most storms will only contain small hail, but a few could be strong to severe with large hail the main hazard.

More widespread activity is expected to develop during the evening and overnight hours. A few of these storms may become strong and be capable of producing large hail and brief gusty winds along with a quick inch of rain in some locations.

Severe weather chances continue into the new week, with a threat for severe storms over western and central Kansas Monday, and a larger threat for organized severe weather on Tuesday and Tuesday night for the entire region. The time to have a plan for severe weather is here
