Update on Amsterdam Rollover Crash from Earlier


Around 3:00pm today Missouri State Highway Patrol along with Bates County Sheriff responded to a 1 vehicle rollover accident on F highway 2 miles east of J Highway. The accident occured when the 2002 Ford Truck driven by Darrell Vanlew 56, of Holden Missouri was traveling westbound and travelled off the roadway, overcorrected and overturned coming to rest in the middle of the highway. Vanlew recieved minor injuries and was transported to Bates County Memorial Hospital. The truck was totaled and was towed by the scene by Don's Tow Of Butler. This accident was worked by TRP Jones and TRP Jenner.

SB252 Passes in Missouri

Missouri Senate just passed SB 252 to clearly ban scanning of documents and takes CCW endorsements away from DOR by a vote of 29-5. An emergency clause put on the bill makes it effective the moment it is signed by the Governor. However the bill must first be approved by the House.

Possible Carbon Monoxide Leak North of Amsterdam


Amsterdam Fire along with Adrian Fire, Bates County Sheriff and EMS is on the scene of a possible Carbon Monoxide Leak this is North of Amsterdam off Y Highway West. We will update as more information becomes available

Rollover Accident outside Amsterdam

Bates County Sheriff's along with Missouri State Highway Patrol is in route to a rollover accident at the corner of F and CC Highways just East of Miami Highschool. There is no reports of injuries yet. Bates County Live will update this when more information becomes available

JH Track Results‏


On Mon., March 14th the Butler Junior High Track Team traveled to Cass Midway for their 32nd Annual Junior Viking All Relays Meet competing against 16 other schools in the very chilly weather.
The Girls took 6th place and everyone put out an outstanding effort in all of their events! The following were the medal winners for the night:
2nd: Peyton McGuire (200m), Riley Mareth (200m), Jenna Simms (400m) and McKenzie Wheatley (800m) in the Distance Medley relay
Mady Gepford, Peyton McGuire, and Drew Ford in the Long Jump Relay

3rd: Jenna (100m), Jolynn Ross (100m), Allie Chandler (200m), and Mady Gepford (400m) In the Sprint Medley Relay
Other point winners:
4th Drew Ford, Riley Mareth, Latisha Walters, and Jasmine Cooper in the 4x 100m Relay
Jolynn Ross, Drew Ford, Allie Chandler, and Mady Gepford in the 4x400m Relay
5th: Mady Gepford, Peyton McGuire, McKenzie Wheatley, and Drew Ford in the Shuttle Hurdle Relay
The Boys also had some outstanding performances and every one competed very well to take 3rd placeoverall behind Pleasant Hill and Cass Mid-way! Great job!! Medal winners were:
1st: Devon Page, Cole Kuda, Ben Holt, and Kaleb Kauffman in the 4x200m Relay
Aziah Van Voorst, Ethan Gardner, Eli Brockman, and Cole Kuda in the 7th Grade 4x400m Relay
3rd: Kaleb Kauffman, Devon Page, Ethan Gardner in the High Jump Relay
Kaleb Kauffman, Dylan Morris, and Tanner Diehl in the Long Jump Relay
Other point winners for the night were:
4th: Brett Behringer(100m) , Ethan Gardner(100m), Tanner Diehl(200), and Dylan Morris(400m) in the Sprint Medley Relay
Brody Kauffman(200m), Ben Holt(200m), Brett Behringer(400m), and Tanner Diehl(800m) in the 8th Grade Distance Medley
Brody Kauffman, Devon Page, Dylan Morris, and Kaleb Kauffman in the 8th Grade 4x400m Relay
5th: Jacob Shipley (200m), Nate Baker (200m), Tevin Taylor (400m), Kenton Taylor (800m) in the 7th Grade Distance Medley Relay
6th: Dakota Hulse, Ben Holt, and Tyson Bennett in the Shot Put Relay
Caden Gustin, Aziah Van Voorst, Payton Shearer, and Brett Behringer in the Shuttle Hurdles


GOP Pot Luck Dinner


There will be a GOP Pot Luck dinner/meeting on Saturday, April 20th beginning at 6pm at the GOP headquarters on the West Side of the Butler Square.
 
Guest speakers will be State Senator Ed Emery and State Representative Randy Pike as well as Barney and Mary Fisher. Dues are payable at this time. Everyone is welcome to attend this Pot Luck dinner/meeting on April 20th.
