Kansas City Power and Light
As required by Public Service Commission rule, Kansas City Power & Light Company (KCP&L) has filed its annual Renewable Energy Standard Compliance Plan and Report with the Missouri Public Service Commission.
The PSC staff has been directed to examine the annual Renewable Energy Standard Compliance Plan and file a report of its review no later than May 30, 2013. The Office of the Public Counsel and any other interested person or entity has until May 30, 2013, to file any comments regarding KCP&L’s plan.
KCP&L provides electric service to approximately 270,000 customers in Missouri.

Benefit Dinner for Bright Future
Dough Boys Chicago Style Pizza in Harrisonville will host a benefit for Bright Futures this Saturday, April 20 from 10:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Twenty-five percent of proceeds will be donated to Bright Futures. Dough Boys will offer a special - a large single topping pizza with cheese bread for $15 for the event.

Harrisonville Middle School to host first-ever 5k Wildcat Run
The Harrisonville community is invited to participate in the first-ever Harrisonville Middle School Wildcat Run on Wednesday, May 22. The event will benefit the HMS physical education department.
The event will feature a 5K which begins and ends at Harrisonville Middle School. Registration for the 5K is $20 and the pre-registration deadline is May 3. However, participants may register up to the day of the race for an additional $5 per person. All pre-registrants will receive a race t-shirt.
Sponsorships for the Harrisonville Wildcat Run are available. Sponsorship levels begin at $100 for a White Sponsor. Royal Blue Sponsorships are $500 and True Wildcat Sponsorships are $1,000.
Prizes will be awarded for top finishers in each grade as well as top fundraisers for each grade.
Organizer Lindsay Hartzler, HMS PE teacher, said "We believe that it is important for our students to participate in lifetime fitness activities such as running/walking. We are asking community members to also participate to reinforce the concept of lifetime fitness."
