UPDATE: From Osage Valley Electric

The Crews are working on an outage affecting a feeder of the Butler substation and on an outage on the East Lynne substation. If you have a power outage Please report it to 800-889-6832. Bates County Live will update any new information when  it becomes available.

Downed Limbs all over Butler

Butler Public Works  Crews along with Butler Police is working hard to remove trees from roadways in town. The Police is blocking Broadway and Oak Streets in Butler due to downed trees .Please use caution if you have be out traveling this evening. Bates County Live will update with storm pictures tomorrow.

Osage Valley Electric Cooperative is experiencing a large amounts of power outages in the Butler Area. Crews are being sent out and they are on there way. Bates County Live will Updated when and if more information is available.






Update: Fire in Amsterdam

The fire that was behind the bank in Amsterdam was a false alarm and no fire was found. Amsterdam Fire has returned to quarters. No more information available.

Update: Tree fire at Oak Hill

After driving thru the Cemetery The Butler Fire Chief found the tree that was on fire but it had burned it's self out and it was leaning against a line. Osage Valley is being contacted right now. No more information is available.

Tree fire in Oak Hill Cemetery

Butler Fire is in route to a tree fire at Oak Hill Cemetery. There is a tree on fire and it is lening up against a powerline. Bates County Live will update this story when more information is available.

Fire in Amsterdam


Bates County Sheriffs Department along with Amsterdam Fire is in route to a reported fire north of the bank in Amsterdam it's uknown what is on fire at this time. Bates County Live will keep you updated when more information becomes available.
