The Butler Public Library will host a book sale June 6th 7th and 8th. The sneak preview will be Wednesday June 5th from 5:30 to 7:00. The Butler Public Library is located at 100 West Atkison Street in Butler.

First Baptist Church's Soccer- Themed Vacation Bible School

Your kids can hone their soccer techniques with skill drills and scrimmages and and have fun with friends while learning about Jesus Christ. That's what we do at High Power Soccer Camp!

Boys and girls ages 4 years through completed 6th grade are invited to participate in First Baptist Church's soccer-themed vacation Bible school.

When: Sunday through Thursday, June 9-13
6:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.

Body of Missing Fisherman On Stockton Lake Found

The body of a fisherman missing nearly a week on the Dade County part of Stockton Lake has been recovered. The Missouri Water Patrol says the body of 61-year-old Gregory A. Coon, Everton, Mo., was recovered about 8:30 a.m. Sunday. The Water Patrol says he had put in his boat at the Greenfield Access for a day of fishing and his wife reported him as missing that evening when he did not return home.

2013 DDP YOGA CLASSES


2013 DDP Yoga Classes schedule. Starting tonight at 8pm. The classes are in the Elementary Old PE Gym and enter through the back gym door. The times are Monday and Wednesday 8pm and Tuesday and Thursday at 9am. Cost is $5 for an adult and $2 for a student. There will be two 30 minute workouts per session. This is low impact isometric yoga.

Obituary - Clyde Emery " Doodlebug" Dines

 Clyde Emery "Doodlebug" Dines 64-year-old, Appleton City, passed away Friday in Butler. Arrangements are under direction of Hill and Son Funeral Home, Appleton City, and services are scheduled at 10:00 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with pastor Sam Masten officiating. Burial is planned in the Taberville Cemetery. The family receives friends between six and eight o'clock this evening at Hill & Son Funeal Home.

WEATHER UPDATE: Sunday Evening Forecast

We hope your enjoying a cool, but cloudy Sunday afternoon where temperatures are more like APRIL than June. Temperatures will begin to warmup early this week, with rain chances also increasing late Monday night and continuing through Tuesday. In fact, there is a SLIGHT risk for severe storms Tuesday in the local area.

Rainfall totals in some locations may exceed an inch, and could lead to further flood concerns.
