Weather Update: Flash Flood Risk To The South
Be alert for flooding tonight and Monday morning if you live along a stream or in a flood prone area. Those of you traveling overnight and during the morning commute should be alert for flooded roads. Areas that normally don't flood will be at risk for flash flooding. Remember to "Turn Around - Don't Drown"

Rainfall Amount Update For The City Of Butler
At 5pm we have received 2.01 inches at The Bates County Office of Emergency Management office which is located one block southeast of the Bates County Courthouse( The old city jail) The measurements are since midnight Saturday night

Rain Too Much For Roadway South Of Butler

The rain and bad weather was a little bit too much for this streach of County Road SE 225 which is located South of The city of Butler. The road is closed indefinitely until crews can get down and repair this. Bates County Live will update when this road is back open
Rainfall Totals For Butler
So far the rainfall totals in Butler has been 1.75 inches ( which is a record for at BCMA) Be sure you stay safe the drains are running fast and full. Do not drive through water that is over the roadway!

Linn County Fair Tractor Pull Cancelled
The Linn County Truck and Tractor Pull that was set For Sunday Night August 4th has been cancelled due to rain. Also All other events will go on as scheduled. Bates County Live will update if anymore cancellations become available.
UPDATE: Accident West Of Adrian Yesterday
Around 12:05pm Yesterday Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to a 1 vehicle accident on 18 Highway 0.5 miles West of County Road 11001 West Of Adrian. The accident occurred with the 2008 Ford Ranger driven by David A. Taylor 64 of Garden City was traveling Eastbound on 18 Highway and lost control of his vehicle and went off the roadway. The driver recieved minor injuries and also left the scene of the accident. The vehicle was towed from the scene by Adrian Tire.
Accident On I-49
Bates County Sheriff along with Missouri State Highway Patrol is in route to a vehicle that is in the median of I-49. The accident is 4 miles North of Rich Hill. No injuries reported. Bates County Live will update this when and if more information becomes available.
