The Butler Water Department along with The Butler Police Department is in route to check out a possible water main break. The break is in the 400 block of South High Street here in Butler. Please use caution when traveling in this area. Bates County Live will update when any information is available.

The City of Butler, in cooperation with Bates County Disposal, will be conducting this citywide clean up for residential properties.
Bates County Disposal will pick up old furniture, appliances, paint, batteries and miscellaneous junk. The City of Butler will pick up your brush and limbs placed at the curb. You need to have your clean-up items or trash separate from your regular weekly trash but should still be at curbside. Brush needs to be in a pile separate from the rest of your trash and also placed at curbside. Leaves must be bagged in City of Butler leaf bags in order to be collected.
NOTE: This clean-up service is for residential properties only. We will NOT pick up tires or construction/building materials such as lumber, plywood or shingles. There is a one pickup load limit per household. Households with larger amounts must make special arrangements with Bates County Disposal by calling 679-5654. Items not picked up must be removed from the curb immediately.
PLEASE have your trash or brush ready at curbside by 6:00 a.m. on Monday of your clean-up week. They will not make return trips after they have completed a street. This is a free service provided by the City in the spring and fall of each year. Residents are reminded not to set out trash more than one week in advance or you may be subject to code enforcement action.

Amber Alert Out Of Tulsa Oklahoma

TULSA - An Amber Alert has been issued for 2-year-old Jason Allen Taylor whom they say was taken by his father, William Corey Taylor, Tuesday night.
Jason, who has blonde hair and blue eyes, was taken around 9:30 p.m. from 5621 E. 71st Pl. He was last seen wearing a blue Batman shirt and diaper.
William Taylor, 28, is described as a white male, 5 feet 2 inches tall, weighing 175 lbs. He has brown hair, a blond beard and blue eyes.
Police say William Taylor left with Jason in a black Chevy Tahoe with Oklahoma tag 965-AJK.
According to police, there is a permanent protective order in place for Jason Taylor with William Taylor as the Defendant.
According to the Department of Public Safet, William Taylor may be armed and dangerous.
Police say he has a history of violence and suffers from mental illness.
If you see either of them or the suspect vehicle, you are asked to call Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS.
Missouri Fugitive arrested after brief struggle inside nursing home
WESTLAKE, OH (WOIO) -
Brian Adkison is an August 10 escapee from the Caldwell County Detention Center in Kingston, MO where he faces kidnapping, domestic violence, and violating a temporary protection order charges. He is also wanted in Boone County, MO for rape and burglary charges.
A fugitive on the run from the law in Missouri has been arrested in Westlake.

Shortly after 1 p.m. Wednesday, the suspect was spotted riding a bike on Detroit Road near Cahoon Road by an alert citizen.
Adkison ducked into woods, and officers from Avon, Bay Village, Fairview Park, North Olmsted and Rocky River set up a perimeter in the area bounded by I-90, the railroad tracks, Cahoon Road and Ranney Parkway.
At 1:25 p.m., Adkison was seen inside the Huntington Woods nursing home on Westchester Parkway by staff. He was arrested there by a West Lake PDpatrolman after a brief struggle.
No local charges have been filed at this time; they are being considered.
