1 Vehicle Rollover Accident On Adrian Over Pass
The Adrian Fire Department along with Bates County EMS and Missouri State Highway Patrol is on scene of a 1 vehicle rollover accident located just off the Adrian over pass. The woman wasn't seriously injuried in this accident. Bates County Live will update this when the Missouri State Highway Patrol Accident Report becomes available.

THIS ORGANIZATION ORGANIZES FUND RAISING EVENTS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR, TO ASSIST WITH THE PURCHASE OF ATHLETIC EQUIPMENT NEEDED BY THE ATHLETIC DEPARTMENT OF THE BUTLER HIGH SCHOOL. THE DOLLARS YOU SPEND AT THESE FUND RAISERING EVENTS SUPPORT THE BUTLER HIGH SCHOOL AND THE NEEDS OF THE ATHLETIC DEPARTMENTS. MORGAN REID WIN BEAUTY COMPETITION IN KANSAS CITY
Congratulations are in order for 11 year old Morgan Reid of Adrian. Morgan competed against 5 girls in her age category during the International Fresh Faces and Dazzling Beauty Competition held in Kansas City.
Morgan walked away with the highest score in Facial Beauty and received a crown for the Supreme Beauty Competition Category and Novice Supreme Beauty Category.
The State Level competition will be held in St. Louis in the spring of 2014. With this win, International Fresh Faces and Dazzling Beauty Organization will pay $ 100.00 dollars of Morgan’s entry fees at the State Level Competition.
Morgan Reid is in the 6th grade at Adrian Elementary School and is the daughter of Bill and Jenny Reid of Adrian.
With a State Level competition, Morgan would receive a crown , cash, and be eligible for the National Finals to be held Florida at a later date.

Open house, bison hike planned for Sept. 21 at Prairie State Park
The hike, which begins at 10 a.m., will feature information on bison biology, Native American uses, herd dynamics, prairies, and much more. Hikers are encouraged to dress for the weather and hiking across the prairie. Long pants, sturdy shoes, and insect repellant are recommended. The hike will be approximately two miles, but can vary depending on the location of the bison herd.
A visit to Prairie State Park is also a great opportunity to log miles as a part of the Governor’s 100 Missouri Miles challenge. To celebrate Missouri’s distinction as the “Best Trails State” by American Trails and to encourage Missourians to enjoy the outdoors, Governor Jay Nixon and First Lady Georganne Nixon are inviting Missourians to join them in completing 100 Missouri Miles of outdoor physical activity by the end of the year.

SHARON JONES, UTILITY CLERK AT THE BUTLER CITY HALL WILL BE RETIRING THIS MONTH. AFTER 30 YEARS OF SERVICE, SHARON AND HER HUSBAND JERRY JONES WILL BE LIVING THE LIFE OF LEISURE.
A RETIREMENT PARTY WILL BE HELD IN HER HONOR ON FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 27TH FROM 1 TO 3 PM AT THE BUTLER CITY HALL.

Butler Police Department Press Release: Missing Child Found, Safe And Sound
On
09/19/13 at 5:33pm Butler Officers were advised that a child had not
returned home from the youth center. Officers quickly put the word
out and additional Police and Fire units were called in to assist in
the search. At around 6:09 the child was located and returned to his
mother. Special thanks to the Butler Fire Department, Bates County
Sheriffs Office, and to Curtis Vail II from Bates County Live for assisting with the search.
HOME GAME/BUTLER FRIDAY NIGHT SEPTEMBER 20TH GAME
The Butler Bears will play against the Independence Van Horn Falcons this Friday night. This game will also be played on home turf at 7 pm. The game will be broadcast live on FM-92 with pre-game at 6:45 and kick off at 7 pm.
