Warsaw Man Arrested On St. Clair County Warrant

On Wednesday, Sept. 25, John Gueltzau Jr, 35, Warsaw, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with a class B felony of attempting to distribute or deliver a controlled substance. Bond is set at $25,000 cash or surety. The charge stems from an incident on Aug. 17 when Gueltzau attempted to sell Clonazepam, a schedule IV controlled substance, at a residence on Libby Street, Osceola.
Gas Drive Off In St.Clair County Results in Felony Drug Charge

On Thursday, Sept. 26, a deputy from the St. Clair County Sheriff's Department took a report of stolen fuel from Harper’s Service Station, Osceola. An employee at Harper’s reported an individual paid for $5 in gas and actually pumped $50 and drove off. A request for prosecution was signed. The investigation led to the arrest of Ardina Green, 37, Roscoe, for the stolen fuel and she was also found to be in possession of Lorazepam without a prescription. The drug is a schedule IV controlled substance.

Deputies made contact with an individual who was in Green’s vehicle and actually pumped the fuel. She agreed to pay for the fuel and Harper’s agreed not to prosecute. Green was booked and released from the St. Clair County Jail pending formal charges for possessing the Lorazepam. On Sept. 27, a criminal summons was issued charging Green with a class C felony of possessing a controlled substance. Further court proceedings are set for Oct. 18.
OHIO STREET UNITED METHODIST CHURCH TRUNK OR TREAT OCTOBER 31ST
The Ohio Street United Methodist Church will host a Trunk or Treat at the Church parking lot from 6:30 to 7:30 October 31st in addition to the Butler Boo Parade and the Butler Square Trunk or Treat.

HUCKESTER’DAY 2013 / BUTLER LIONS CLUB RAFFLE
Huckster’s Day will be held on the Butler Square October 5th. There are many activities planned to include Art and Craft Booths, Food Booths and the St. Matthew’s Lutheran Train.
The morning kicks off with craft booths, and adult scavenger hunt, baby contest and Huckster’s Jail.
There will be a car bash. Medicalodge of Butler has kids games scheduled for all day. The 2013 Butler Chamber of Commerce Huckster’s Day will include an afternoon dog contest, The Nostalgia Band on Stage and a Talent show.
The day will be full of scheduled events …. The place to be Saturday October 5th will be the Butler Square. The drawing for the Raffle that has been sponsored by the Butler Lions Club will come to an end on Huckster’s day with the drawing and the winner announced during the festival…
You may still purchase your Riffle, Raffle tickets to enter you into the drawing to win a Smith and Wesson Tactical Riffle.
Tickets are for sale at the Computer Aisle, The Adrian Bank, Community First Bank or from any Lions club member. Tickets are $1.00 per ticket or six tickets for $5.00. The drawing will be Huckster’s Day.
