Weather Update: Possible Rain Heading Our Way

The Storms over western Missouri and eastern Kansas have weakened considerably. Areas near and south of KC may still see occasional downpours and some cloud-to-ground lightning, but the threat for damaging winds and large hail has come to an end.

What is left of these storms will reach the Brookfield/Marshall/Warrensburg/Butler areas around midnight....and the Kirksville/Moberly/Sedalia areas around 2 am (probably just showers by that point). Much cooler weather will move in for the weekend with highs in the 50s and lower 60s!

Deputies were able to locate Jones because Jones thought the undercover Deputy was someone from Joplin interested in buying the truck. The undercover Deputy was taken to an undisclosed location in the Richards area where the undercover Deputy verified the person was in fact Jones.
