Preliminary Hearing Set in Adrianna Horton Murder Case
A preliminary hearing is scheduled early next year in Lamar for a Lockwood man charged with kidnapping, raping and killing of a 12-year-old Golden City girl this year. 34-year-old Bobby Bourne, Jr. was charged after Adriaunna Horton disappeared August 19th. The Barton County associate circuit judge Charles Curless -- during a pre-trial conference earlier this week -- scheduled the preliminary hearing for January 8, 2014. The state's case is to be presented by an attorney from the office of the Missouri attorney-general.
BUTLER OPTIMIST GUN AND KNIFE SHOW
November 8th ,9th , and 10th mark the dates for the Annual Butler Optimist Gun and Knife Show, sponsored by the Butler Optimist Club .
Hours are Friday November 8th, 4-8, Saturday November 9th
,8 to 6 and Sunday 9 am to 3 pm. The Butler Optimist Gun and Knife show
will be held at the Old Walmart Building at 1005 West Fort Scott Street
in Butler as a courtesy of Wilson Tire.
Admission is $5.00 per day and children under age 10 will be admitted free of charge.

Weather Update: Chilly October Weather

Water Main Break In Butler
Butler Water Department is on scene of a water main break in the 200 block of east Pleasant Street around Mechanic street in Butler. Crews are still on scene so please watch for workers in the area. Bates County Live will update this if and when any more information becomes available.
Rich Hill Trunk Or Treat
Trunk or Treat on October 31st starting at 5:30 at Park Ave and 5th St, downtown Rich Hill followed by various activities.

Veteran's Bingo Hosted By The Adrian Optimist Club

Veteran’s Day, November 11Th , is a National Holiday to commemorate members of the armed forces. The Adrian Optimist Club will be hosting a special Veteran’s Bingo on Monday, November 11Th at the Adrian Optimist Building. The door’s will open at 5:00 pm with Bingo starting at 7:00 pm. All veteran’s and active military personnel with an ID will receive a free meal with the purchase of a Bingo Pack. This is the Adrian Optimist Club’s way of saying “Thank You’’ for all the Vet’s have done for our country. That’s the Veteran’s Bingo, on Veteran’s Day at the Adrian Optimist Building on Monday, November 11Th at 5 pm.
