Weather Update: Warm Weather To Exit - Light Snow And Cold Air To Return


Following a foggy start this morning, one final day of warm weather is expected with temperatures reaching the lower to middle 60s this afternoon. A cold front will move through the region tonight bringing much colder conditions. A chance of snow is possible Thursday and Friday mainly along and south of the Interstate 70 corridor, with the highest totals expected over southwestern Missouri.

St. Clair County Sheriff's Off Press Release: Arrested On Warrants


On Nov. 30 Rachael Wheatley, 35, Osceola, was arrested in Henry County on three outstanding St. Clair County warrants, class C felony burglary in the first degree, felony probation violation and failing to pay fines on a misdemeanor charge of driving without a valid license. The burglary charge stems from an incident on Aug. 4 at Moccasin Trails Antique Store, 3790 NE 13 Highway, Osceola, when over $2,000 in jewelry along with over $1,000 in cash was reported stolen. The warrant was issued on Aug. 14 and bond was set at $10,000 cash or surety. The warrant for a probation violation was issued on Aug. 16 and bond was set at $10,000 cash or surety. The misdemeanor warrant was issued on Sept. 10 and bond was set at $136.50 cash only.

Structure Fire In Adrian

The Adrian Fire Department along with The Butler Fire Department and Central Cass Fire Department is in route to a structure fire outside of Adrian. The location of the fire is North of Adrian on I-49 then East on E Highway to the second driveway. The shop behind the residence is reportedly fully engulfed in flames at this time. Bates County Live will update this when more information becomes available.

Nov. 30, St. Clair County, 2:15 p.m., Jeffrey A. Gage, Jr., 32, Humansville, two misdemeanor warrants from Jackson County for driving while revoked and fraud. Transported to the St. Clair County Jail.


Nov. 30, Bates County. 9:02pm, Patti J. Rodriguez, 39, Rich Hill, (1)Driving while Intoxicated,(2)Careless and Imprudent Driving- Resulting in a accident (4) Driving without a license. Transported to the Bates County Jail on a 12 hour hold.




Dec. 2, Bates County. 1 p.m., Anthony D. Barrett, 42, Grain Valley, misdemeanor warrant driving while suspended from Jefferson County and no insurance. Transported to the Bates County Jail.

2 People Hurt In Henry County Crash

Around 12:30pm this afternoon The Missouri State Highway Patrol along with the Henry County Sheriff's Department responded to a 1 vehicle rollover accident on K Highway around County Road SW 600 in Western Henry County. The accident occurred when the 1990 Ford driven by Gina L. Resz, 42 of Eldorado Springs Missouri was traveling Southbound on K and ran off the right side of the roadway and over corrected, causing the vehicle to overturned and ejecting a passenger in the vehicle 23 year old Kelsey Eisenbeiss also of Eldorado Springs Missouri. 

The driver Gina L. Resz received moderate injuries and was transported to Ellett Memorial Hospital in Appleton City. The passenger in the vehicle Kelsey Eisenbeiss received serious injuries and was transported to Freeman Hospital West in Joplin Missouri. The vehicle was totaled and towed from the scene by Golden Valley Wrecker Service.

Obituary - Frances Williams

Funeral services for Frances Williams will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at Schowengerdt Funeral Chapel (660-679-6555) in Butler, Missouri with Pastor Ron Dunlap officiating. Visitation will be prior to services from 10-11 a.m. at Schowengerdt Chapel. Burial in Radford Cemetery, Spruce, Missouri. Contributions to Radford Cemetery, Heartland Hospice or Willow Lane Nursing Center. 

Frances May Williams, age 90 of Butler, Missouri died Sunday, December 1, 2013 at Willow Lane Nursing Center in Butler. She was born February 16, 1923 Edgar Thurston and Mable Martha Murphy in Spruce, Missouri. 

Frances is survived by her brother, Ralph Jenning and wife Evelyn of Butler, Missouri; four nieces, Shirley Heckadon and husband Don of Butler, Missouri, Virginia Cline of Blue Springs, Missouri, Karen Hunt of Independence, Missouri and Linda Witz and husband Steve of Shawnee, Kansas; two nephews, J.L. Jennings and wife Pam of Butler, Missouri and Gary Jennings and wife Margie of Rockville, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Estle Williams; four brothers, Ernest, John, Wilbur and Homer; two sisters, Hazel Hunt and Esther Harbert; and an infant brother.
