Bates County Sheriff"s Office: Winter Weather Advisory For Bates County

Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for Bates County and surrounding counties. The temperature's are expected to drop from 0 to -13 degrees over night. That doesn't count the wind chill factors either. If you don't have to be out then please don't be. All schools are closed tomorrow. If you must travel please do it with caution. Bates County Live will update any and all weather updates.

Police Looking For Wreckless Driver In Butler

The Butler Police Department along with The Bates County Sheriff's Office is looking for a Maroon In color newer model Chevrolet truck with hay spikes and  a hay bale on the back of it. The truck was driving reckless and knocked over some mail boxes on Nursery Street here in Butler. The vehicle was last seen traveling Westbound on Nursery Street here in Butler. Possible House Fire In Butler

The Butler Fire Department along with Butler Police Department is in route to 602 North Gregory Street here in Butler on a possible fire. The caller stated there was sparks coming from behind a stove in the kitchen. Everyone is out of the house at this time.
