Around 7:30am this morning The Missouri State Highway Patrol along with The Bates County Sheriff's Department and Bates County EMS all responded to a 1 vehicle accident on BB Highway and County Road 9004 in the Ballard Area. The Accident occurred when the 2007 Chevrolet driven by Kimberly A. Smith 40 years old from Urich , Missouri was traveling Westbound on route BB and started to slide on ice covered roads. The vehicle slid off the left side of the roadway and struck a fence. A passenger in vehicle 52 year old Kelly L. Howard of Urich, Missouri received minor injuries and was transported by ambulance to Bates County Memorial Hospital. The driver Kimberly A. Smith wasn't hurt in the accident. The vehicle received minor damage and was driven from the scene.

Mizzou football star Dorial Green-Beckham booked, then released from Greene County Jail
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- University of Missouri sophomore wide receiver and Springfield Hillcrest High School graduate Dorial Green-Beckham was booked in the Greene County jail overnight for suspicion of felony drug possession.
According to the Greene County Sheriff's Department website, he was in custody but has not been charged. He was released from jail a short time later. Springfield Police say the 20-year-old student was one of three in a vehicle pulled over near Jefferson and Sunshine.
Green-Beckham was suspended from the team for one game in October of 2012 after being arrested for misdemeanor possession of marijuana. Charges were later dropped.
Green-Beckham is coming off a breakout season in which he earned 2nd team All-Southeastern Conference honors registering a team high 59 catches, 883 yards and 12 touchdowns. He was one of the country's top high school recruits in the Class of 2012.
Weather Update: Winter Thaw

Since the snow birds and cold weather fans have been getting their way for most of the winter...in an effort to make everyone happy, we have dialed up a winter thaw through the weekend into the beginning of next week. Temperatures today will range from the mid 30s to mid 40s with the warmest day coming Sunday with highs ranging from near 50 to near 60!! A cold front will move through the area Sunday night but highs Monday will still be above average in the upper 30s to the mid 40s. Does this make you happy or would you prefer a return to the cold and snow?
UPDATE: AMBER Alert issued for Missouri infant missing since Jan. 2

ANDERSON, Mo. (KSDK) – An AMBER Alert was issued Friday after a six-month-old was taken from his great grandfather's apartment by his own parents.
Mitchell Farris was in the custody of his great grandfather by the Division of Family Services when 34-year-old Preston Farris -- his father -- took him. Preston Farris is believed to be traveling with Anastasia McDaniel, Mitchell's mother.
The Anderson Police Department heard about the disappearance from the Missouri Division of Family Services on Friday afternoon.
Preston Farris and McDaniel were last seen driving a red 2004 Ford Freestar with Missouri license plate UH7D2R. The has decals on the back window of a stick-figure family.
Anyone who has seen the victim, the suspects or the vehicle should immediately dial 911 or contact the Anderson Police Department at (417)-845-2681.
Archie Man Injured In Cass County Crash

Around 1pm yesterday afternoon the Missouri State Highway Patrol along with the Cass County Sheriff's Department responded to a 1 vehicle accident East of Archie On B Highway at Route F in Dayton Missouri. The accident occurred when the 1998 Chevrolet Cavalier driven by 32 year old Jeremy C. Bingham of Archie Missouri was traveling Eastbound on route B. The driver lost control of the vehicle travelled off the right side of the roadway, struck several posts, and overturned striking a house. The vehicle was totaled and Mr. Bingham received moderate injuries but refused treatment at the scene. The vehicle was towed from the scene by Miller Tow.

Stolen Dump Trailer Could Be In Our Area

STOLEN! A dump trailer that was stolen early this morning, Jan. 10, 2014, from N Madison Raymore, Mo. It is 10 ft length and 6 ft wide. Back doors swing out - hinges on the sides & latch in the center. It is missing one hook that hold the ramps.
The ramps are also secured with C- Clamps. There are several large dents on the fenders. It was last seen going South on N Madison towards the Raymore Post Office & 58 Hwy. If seen, please call 816-547-5606 or the Raymore Police Dept and reference report # 14-54.
