Rockville man life flighted after Vernon County Rollover Accident

A Rockville, Mo. man was flown to Freeman-West Hospital, Joplin, after a motor-vehicle crash Monday evening on Missouri highway 43, half-a-mile South of Moundville. Missouri Highway Patrol trooper Justin Leemasters says it happened shortly after 5:30 p.m. when a South-bound Hyundai Tiburon -- driven by 33-year-old George P. Buhlinger, Rockville -- ran off the road, hit an enbankment and overturned. Buhlinger was flown to the Joplin hospital and the trooper's report listed his injury as minor. Vernon County sheriff Jason Mosher said this morning the vehicle was fleeing a deputy sheriff who had tried to make a vehicle stop for an alleged license tag violation and the deputy saw the occupants of the vehicle throwing objects out of the windows before the crash.

One person was taken to the Vernon County jail, 2040 E. Hunter in Nevada, and the sheriff is not releasing the name, pending the formal filing of charges by county prosecutor Lynn M. Ewing III.
