Minor Accident In Butler

The Butler Police Department is in route to a 1 vehicle accident involving a gold Acura car located at the Butler High School Parking lot on the corner of Fulton Street and Nursery Street here in Butler. No reports of injuries in this accident please use caution if you must travel in this weather.

Cass County Rollover Today

One person was injured in a one-vehicle accident today around 10am this morning in Cass County on I-49 at the 152.4 mile marker.

Jason A. Morgan, 36, Springfield, wearing a seat belt, southbound in a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado, traveled off the ice covered roadway. Subsequently, the vehicle rolled.

A passenger was injured. Bridget E. Halmagyi, 37, Aurora, wearing a seat belt, experienced moderate injuries and was transported by Cass County EMS to Belton Regional Hospital.

The Morgan vehicle was totaled and removed from the scene by Johnson’s Towing. Missouri Highway Patrol Trooper J.C. Ewing investigated the accident.

Garden City woman injured in accident this afternoon

Around 1:15pm this afternoon the Missouri State Highway Patrol along with the Harrisonville Police Department responded to a 1 vehicle accident in the Northbound lanes of I-49 around Mile Marker 150.8. 

The accident occurred when the 2007 Dodge Caravan driven by 29 year old Talia N. Brown of Garden City, Missouri was traveling Northbound on I-49 lost control of the vehicle on ice covered roadway. She then travelled off the roadway and struck a bridge pillar. She was taken to Cass Regional Medical center with minor injuries. The vehicle was totaled and towed from the scene by Miller Tow.

UPDATE: Vehicle on Fire Just South Of Archie

The Adrian Fire Department along with Bates County EMS and Missouri State Highway Patrol was all responding to the report of a vehicle accident and fire on I-49 around 3 miles South of Archie. The accident was unfounded at this time. 

The fire department did see a accident North of Archie on I-49 but Central Cass was on the scene. Bates County Live will update the accident in Cass County when more information becomes available.
