Obituary - Anna Barbara Lockard

Funeral services for Anna Lockard will be 11:00 AM Friday, May 9, 2014 at the First Assembly of God Church in Butler, Missouri with Pastor Garth Lambie officiating. Visitation will be prior to services from 10 – 11 AM at the church. Burial to follow services in Oak Hill Cemetery, Butler. Contributions are suggested to the American Heart Association. Anna Barbara Lockard passed away May 4, 2014 at the age of 99 years, one month and six days, at the Bates County Memorial Hospital in Butler, Missouri. She was born March 28, 1915 near Butler, the daughter of Alonzo L. and Dora L. (Greiss) Lockard. She went to a one-room school at Prairie Rose west of Passaic, Missouri and went to Passaic High School. During the war she worked at Pratt Whitney, then later at Cook Paint and Varnish Company. After her mother died, she came back to the farm to stay with her father until his death in 1952.
Anna returned to Kansas City where she worked and retired from Household Finance (Ben Franklin Stores). She was a member of Evangel Temple from 1940 until 2011, when she moved to Butler and resided at Maple Senior Living.
Anna was preceded in death by her parents and six sisters: Phoebe Westover, Esther LaMar, Mae Cuzick, Rachel Welch, Ellen Pitt and Mila Bell. She is survived by one sister Ada Combs of Springfield, Missouri, 30 nieces and nephews, many great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews, as well as a host of friends.

Obituary - Brian George

Brian George, Rich Hill, passed away Saturday, May 3, at Nevada Regional Medical Center at the age of 35. 

Arrangements are under direction of Heuser Funeral Home, Rich Hill, and services are scheduled at 5:00 p.m. 

Wednesday, May 7, at the funeral home. Memorials to a Brian George Memorial Fund are suggested.
