Adrian Optimist Club Students Of The Month April 2014

The Adrian Optimist Club is pleased to honor Students of the Month from the Miami, Ballard, and Adrian schools. Criteria for this honor center on outstanding academic and civic achievement and school spirit. Staff at each of the schools make the selection, and their decision is based on expansion of these criteria. Selection is based on the criteria, but a student stepping up to a particular task will come to play in it. Each student is honored with a certificate of recognition from the Adrian Optimist Club and $20.00 in Adrian Chamber of Commerce “Chamber Bucks”.

Weather Update: Very Hot Day Today

If you thought yesterday was hot, today will be even warmer. Add in higher humidity levels and it'll feel even more like summer. If you'll be outdoors today make sure you stay hydrated by drinking plenty of H2O. Don't think any pools are open so you'll have to find other ways to cool off. What's your favorite way to cool off?

As for the storminess we've been anticipating we have some isolated sto...rms over northeast MO this morning. Nothing severe. Towards sunrise tomorrow morning we expect to see some showers & storms roll into eastern KS and western MO. May see a couple rounds of storms on Thursday. We'll need to keep an eye on the afternoon and evening storms as they could become severe. Main threats will be large hail, damaging winds and of course lightning. The tornado risk looks very small. Check back in for later updates.
