Butler Elementary Paws Program
Mrs. Millard’s second grade class undertook a “paws”itively wonderful reading challenge. Students have been on a quest for the past nine weeks to earn money for the Military Working Dog Team Support Assoc. Organization that sends care packages to our troops (dog handlers) and our military dogs that are overseas. These care packages are filled with items for both the dogs and their handlers. Students were matched with sponsors that donated money for each book the student read. Most sponsors are themselves military families or have a special connection to our military. The project was also supported by our local Security Bank Branch. The students raised 446.00.
