Obituary - Robert "Bob" Dexter
Funeral services for Bob Dexter will be 11 a.m. Saturday, June 7, 2014 at Schowengerdt Funeral Chapel (660-679-6555) in Butler, Missouri. Visitation will be prior to services from 10-11 a.m. at Schowengerdt Chapel. Burial in Benjamin Cemetery, Amoret, Missouri. Contributions to Amoret Community Center.
Robert “Bob” Wessel Dexter, age 88 of Amoret, Missouri died Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at Willow Lane Nursing Center in Butler, Missouri. He was born August 21, 1925 to Andrew and Rose Wessel Dexter in Davenport, Iowa.
Bob is survived by a stepson, Roger Simmons and wife Mary of Morris, Illinois; three brothers, Frank Dexter and husband Bud of Dixon, Illinois, Harry Dexter and wife Bonita of Garden City, Kansas and Harold Dexter and wife Jackie of Davenport, Iowa; seven grandchildren, Cindy Puck and husband Brad of Davenport, Iowa, Scott Simmons of Des Moines, Iowa, Patricia Weese of Morris, Illinois, Mike Ellis and wife Kathleen of Watertown, Wisconsin, Joseph Simmons of Gooselake, Iowa, Keith Simmons and wife Danielle of Madison, Wisconsin and Sandra Simmons of Morris, Illinois; 16 great-grandchildren; 5 great great-grandchildren; many loved nephews and nieces including special nephew Drew Dexter and wife Sonia of Harrisonville, Missouri; great-nephews and great-nieces; and dear neighbors Jesse Short and Ray and Joy Craft. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Betty Jane; one brother, Fred Dexter; two sisters-in-law, Shirley Dexter and Marion Dexter; and one great grandson, James Woody.

Justin W. Stephan Memorial Main St. Classic Golf Tournament
The Justin W. Stephan Memorial Main St. Classic Golf Tournament is Saturday, June 7, at the Butler Country Club. Several teams have signed up, but ACMSV encourages more golfers to sign up teams NOW to assure they secure enough carts, goody bags, and have plenty of YUMMY food. At this point, more than 35 silent auction items, some valued at over $100, have been donated! Even if you don't golf, the public is welcome to take part in the silent auction. Just come to the Butler Country Club Clubhouse. Call Karol Stephan at 660-679-1326 or 476-2232 for sign-up information and questions about the auction that will begin at 8:30 and run until the end of the tournament.
