UPDATE: Rollover Accident West Of Passaic

The scene west of Passaic this afternoon
Around 1:50 pm this afternoon the Missouri State Highway Patrol along with Butler and Adrian Fire Departments, Bates County Sheriffs Office and Bates County EMS responded to a one vehicle rollover accident 3 miles West of Passaic on F Highway at County Road 3001.

The Accident occurred when the 2003 Honda Civic driven by 15 year old Ryan B. Fowler of Amoret, Missouri was traveling Westbound on Missouri F Highway and traveled off the right side of the roadway, returned to the roadway causing the vehicle to overturn. He was wearing a seatbelt and was transported by ambulance to Bates County Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.

A passenger in the vehicle 67 year old Ronald Fowler of Amoret, Missouri received serious injuries and was flown to Research Main Hospital in Kansas City by Life Flight Eagle. The vehicle was totaled and towed from the scene.




Obituary - Barbara Ann (Hocker) Taylor

Funeral services for Barbara Taylor will be 11:00 AM Monday, June 9, 2014 at Drexel Christian Church in Drexel, Missouri. Visitation will be Sunday evening, 5-7 PM at Mullinax Funeral Home – Drexel Chapel. Burial will follow services in Sharon Cemetery near Drexel. Barbara Ann (Hocker) Taylor, 66 of Drexel, passed away June 5, 2014 at her home near Drexel. She was born July 4, 1947 in Harrisonville, Missouri, daughter of James Arthur and Martha (Philpot) Hocker.

The golf tournament raised over $7000; we voted to purchase new Varsity football uniforms for 2014 season; we went over new t-shirt designs that we will have in the bear backers trailer. Don't forget the mini nascar race next Saturday, June 14. Still looking for volunteers to help. Please message us if you're available. Come out & support this event & our kids.

Dog Set For Adoption Friday June 6th

This dog will be available for adoption at Sage Animal Clinic (660-679-4111) from Friday June 6th - Wednesday June 11th. This dog is a male and appears to be an older dog, very sweet and needs some TLC.

Rollover Accident West Of Passaic

The Butler Fire Department along with Bates County Sheriffs Office, Bates County EMS and The Adrian Fire Department is in route to a 1 vehicle roll over accident 3 miles West of Passaic on F Highway and County Road 3001.

Unknown at this time if there are any injuries.

Bates County Elks Veterans Tribute coming June 14th


The Bates County Elks Lodge # 2653 invites you to join us on Saturday, June 14 at 10:00 AM on the Bates County Courthouse lawn on the Butler Square as we dedicate a beautiful black granite monument to the Veterans of Bates County. The Monument will depict all military branches, military images, a tribute, and much more. You will want to be there to see it unveiled. What started as just a possibility has now become a reality. We have already set in place over 1040 Veterans names on anodized plates near the monument. (And we are still taking Veterans names for another plate) All of this is to honor our Bates County Veterans.

Bates County Elks‏ Teen Dance

All students ages 12-17 are invited to a Teen Dance at the Bates County Elks Lodge on Saturday, June 7, 7:00-10:00 PM. Admission is $2.00 which is good for 2 items at the concession stand. Other items are $1.00 each. Students must be signed in and are not permitted to leave until signed out by parent. Parents are always welcome. Text 816 438-4658 for more info.

This Dance is held the1st Saturday of each month. Chaperoned by members of the Elks Lodge.
