Shoplifting call leads to foot pursuit in Butler This Morning


The Butler Police Department responded to the Family Center Store on West Ft. Scott Street this morning around 11:20am on the reports of a unknown female that was seen shoplifting.

When the officers arrived on scene a unknown white male fled from them on foot running westbound. The officers gave chase and caught the suspect in Wilson Tire Parking lot and he was placed into custody.

Bates County Live will update this when a official press release is available from the Butler Police Department.

Butler Fire Department: Barn Fire Unfounded


  • Around 9am this morning the Butler Fire Department was call out to a reported structure fire ( smoke coming from a red barn) right off the East Side of I-49  and mile marker 134 North of Butler. Upon arrival to the area none of the fire units were able to find the fire. The incident was terminated and all fire units returned to the station.

St. Clair County Sheriffs Office: Arrest Warrant Issued For Jolly

 
Regina Jolly

  • On June 9, Regina Jolly, 38, Weaubleau, was arrested in Collins on two active warrants from Hickory County for felony possession of marijuana and misdemeanor theft. Bond was set at $20,000 cash or surety in the felony case and $500 cash only in the misdemeanor case. Jolly also had an outstanding warrant from the Clinton Police Department for failing to appear on a misdemeanor stealing charge. Bond in that case was set at $100 cash only.

Stolen Vehicle From Belton May Be In Our Area

The Missouri State Highway Patrol along with Belton Police Department are looking for a stolen 2014 Dodge Dart black in color with no license plate. It was stolen earlier this evening from Belton. 

The last known direction of travel was southbound on I-49. the driver is described as a white male 5ft 6 120 lbs green eyes. If you see this vehicle or the suspect please contact your local law enforcement.
