Funeral services for Johnnie Hough will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, June
25, 2014 at Schowengerdt Funeral Chapel (660-679-6555) in Butler,
Missouri with Pastor Barrett Case officiating. Visitation will be prior
to services from 10-11 a.m. at Schowengerdt Chapel. Burial in Greenlawn
Cemetery, Rich Hill, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, contributions to
Family.
Johnnie Jo Hough, age 57 of Warsaw, Missouri, formerly of Butler, Missouri died Saturday, June 21, 2014 at University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia, Missouri. He was born August 14, 1956 to John Ophilus and Laile Ann Smith Hough in Butler.
Johnnie is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Hough of Warsaw, Missouri;
one son, Major John Forrest Hough and wife Sabrina of Abilene, Texas;
his parents, John and Laile Hough of Rich Hill, Missouri; one brother,
Kip Hough of Kansas City, Missouri; one sister, Patricia Burchell and
husband Randy of Rich Hill, Missouri; and two grandchildren. He was
preceded in death by one brother, Bret in 1993.

Parents: Reminder that black ball pants will need to be turned in at
the last game. Pictures will be handed out at that time also. Pants must
be turned in to get your pictures.

Little Miss and Mr. Bates County Candidates Needed... Deadline to sign up soon
Bates County Candidates are needed for the upcoming Little Miss and Mr. Bates County contest during the fair. The contest is for boys and girls ages 4 - 6 years old by July 1, 2014.
Pre registration is required for this event and the deadline to pre-register is June 27th. You can register your child at The Butler Chamber of Commerce Office at 5 N. Main in Butler, There is a $5 charge for each child.
Little Miss and Mr. Bates County finalist will ride in the Fair Parade July 8th with the winners being selected after at the Fair Bash. The winners will receive a 50$ savings bond with a maximum of 10 finalist to be selected. Be sure you register the deadline is almost here.

Bates County Fair to kickoff July 8th
The Bates County Fair will kickoff with the parade set to leave the fairgrounds at 5:30pm on July 8th and will arrive on the square around 6pm. If you want to be part of the judging with chances to win cash prizes and ribbons/trophies in the parade you must register at the front gate with the officials. You must check in to be judged there will be no late judging.
