UPDATE: Motorcycle accident this morning on I-49
Around 7:15am The Missouri State Highway Patrol, Bates County Sheriffs Office, Bates County EMS and Rich Hill Fire responded to a 1 vehicle motorcycle accident in the Southbound lanes of I-49 and mile marker 119.9.
The accident occurred when the 1986 Suzuki driven by 44 year old Leon D. Lewis of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota ran off the left side of the roadway and overturned in the median.
A passenger on the bike Nancy M. Roden 47 also of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota refused medical treatment at the scene. Mr. Lewis wasn't injured in this accident either. The bike had minor damage and was towed from the scene by Don's Tow of Butler.

The Butler Police Department is on the scene of what appears to be a non injury accident on Business 49/Orange street and Harrison street. Expect slow traffic through the area, more details to be published as they become available.
Butler Police Department: Butler man arrested on assault
Yesterday at
around 6 pm, the Butler Police Department was dispatched to the 300 block of West
Harrison street in reference to a physical disturbance in progress.
Upon arrival Officers observed a black male, later identified as 59
year old Mark Brown of Butler, walking down the street carrying a
wooden baseball bat.
Butler Police Officers also observed a white male, 36 year old John
Ganfield, sitting in a folding chair in his front yard with visible
injuries to his head and body. Brown was arrested for assault and
placed on a 24 hour hold at the Bates County Jail pending charges.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol along with Rich Hill First responders are in route to a motorcycle accident on I-49. The location of this accident is in the Southbound lanes of I-49 around mile marker 119.6. Unknown of injuries at this time, Bates County Live will update this when more information becomes available.
