Vernon County Sheriffs Office: Bronaugh man arrested


A rural Bronaugh man is in custody at the Vernon County jail after his arrest on Vernon County felony charges by Cedar County officers Tuesday evening. Michael Hagerman, who turns 30 December 20, was taken first to the county jail in Stockton and later was transferred to the jail at 2040 E. Hunter Street, Nevada. Three class C felony counts alleging the maintenance of a public nuisance, receiving stolen property and the unlawful possession, transport, repair or sale of an illegal weapon were filed against Hagerman.

Pleasanton Kansas Woman Killed When Struck by Train


Funeral Arrangements are pending for a Pleasanton, Kansas woman who was killed when she was hit by a train. The accident happened on Tuesday evening in LaCygne, Kansas. 

The Kansas State Highway Patrol says this accident happened shortly before 5:30 p.m. at Market Street and Railroad Avenue in LaCygne. 

The fatality victim was identified as 64-year-old Linda K. Durk, Pleasanton, Kansas. 

Kansas State Highway Patrol Troopers say she was walking West in the East-bound lane when she was hit by the train.

Stolen Vehicle out of Henry County Overnight


The Henry County Sheriffs Office is attempting to locate a vehicle that was stolen overnight out of Calhoun. Missouri. The vehicle is a 1993 Buick Skylark that is white in color with a Missouri license plate of PA2 - U9Z.

Bates County Sheriffs Office: Amsterdam Man Arrested on Class C Felony

On 9/2/14 The Bates County Sheriffs Office responded to a residence in Amsterdam, Missouri on a report of a female being held against her will. Once on scene the Bates County Sheriff's Deputies made contact with a female victim. During this encounter the deputies located several drug related items in the house.

Bates County Sheriff's Deputies then secured the residence and applied for a search warrant. When the search warrant was obtained the warrant was executed on the home. Deputies located multiple guns, Drug Paraphernalia and Methamphetamine's. These items were collected and processed for evidence.

Suspect Jeffery W. Frost DOB 1/03/1975 of Amsterdam, Missouri was arrested and charged with Felony Possession of a controlled substance a Class C. Felony. Unlawful use of Drug Paraphernalia a Class A Misdemeanor . His bond was set at 12,500 cash or surety.
