Countywide Disposal No pick up on Thanksgiving

Countywide Disposal of Butler will NOT pick up trash on Thanksgiving Day. Instead Thursday customers will have their trash picked up on Friday, November 28th.

Missouri State Highway Patrol Arrest Report 11/24/14

On 11/24/14 around 8:55 p.m. The Missouri State Highway Patrol in Bates County arrested 33 year Lonnie L. Boyd of Joplin, Missouri.

He was arrested on 1.) Driving while intoxicated 2.) Speeding. He was booked into the Bates County Jail and later released.

Obituary - David "Roscoe" Lawrence Cameron

David "Roscoe" Lawrence Cameron, age 88 of Amoret, Missouri died Sunday, November 23, 2014. He was born October 8, 1926 to Lily Boyd and Nina Opal Lawrence Cameron in LaCygne, Kansas.

Roscoe is survived by a son, Terry Cameron and wife Tammy of Amsterdam, Missouri; two daughters, Christine Leiker of Kansas City, Missouri and Julia Chaffee and husband Greg of Belton, Missouri; five grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

St.Clair County Sheriffs Office: Humansville man arrested

On Nov. 21, during the same traffic stop, Ronald Gannaway Jr., 39, Bolivar, was arrested on a Humansville Police Department warrant for drug paraphernalia. The warrant was issued in September. Bond is set at $100 cash only.

St. Clair County Sheriffs Office: Man arrested on Cedar County Warrant

William Hunt

On Nov. 21, William Hunt, 42, Fair Play, was arrested following a traffic stop in St. Clair County. Hunt was arrested on a Cedar County warrant for failure to appear in court on a class felony charge of passing a bad check-$500 or more no account, insufficient funds. The original charge stems from an incident in January. The warrant was issued on Nov. 20. Bond is set at $5,000 cash or surety.

St. Clair County Sheriffs Office: Osceola man Arrested

On Nov. 22, Micky Kottwitz, 39, Osceola, was arrested following a traffic stop in Osceola. Kottwitz was arrested on a Boone County warrant charging him with a class A misdemeanor of harassing communication. The charge stems from an incident in August. The warrant was issued in September. Bond was set at $1,500 cash or surety. A court date of Dec. 17 was issued.
