State of Missouri Endangered SILVER Advisory

The Kansas City Missouri Police Department has issued an Endangered SILVER
Advisory for a missing adult incident that occurred at 2611 Agnes Ave,
Kansas City, Missouri at 8:30 a.m. on January 12, 2015.

The endangered SILVER advisory missing adult is:

James D. Johnston, a white, male, age 75, hgt 509, 200 lbs, black/gray
hair, brown eyes, wearing a brown ball cap, light blue jacket, dark blue
shirt, dark brown slacks.

Unique characteristics: Subject walks taking small steps and shuffling his
feet.

Diagnosed Medical Condition: Dementia

Brief circumstances regarding the Endangered Silver Person incident:

Subject walked away from his son-in-law’s residence at 2611 Agnes Drive in
Kansas City, Missouri on January 12, 2015 at 8:30 a.m. Subject suffers from
dementia and is not dressed appropriately for cold weather.

Anyone seeing the missing person, suspect, associate, or vehicle, or anyone
having any information related to the endangered missing person should
immediately dial 911 to contact the nearest law enforcement agency or call
the Kansas City Missouri Police Department at 816-719-8305.

Obituary - Linda G. Mix

Linda G. Mix, 71, of Peculiar, Missouri, died Thursday, January 8, 2015 at home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at 11:00am at Atkinson Funeral Home, Harrisonville, MO. The family will receive friends 10:00-11:00am Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the PKD Foundation.

Obituary - Patricia J. Reppert

Patricia J. Reppert
Patricia J. Reppert, age 85, Mound City, Kansas passed away on Saturday, January 10, 2015. She was born on January 21, 1929 in Kansas City, Missouri the daughter of Harry O. and Alberta C. Camp Kliner. She married Fred Lee Reppert on May 3, 1949. He preceded her in death on February 5, 2005. Pat worked for Western Electric as a telephone repair person, retiring in 1981. She was very proud of that fact. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Mound City, and the Altar Society. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Larry Lee Reppert, and Fred Joseph Reppert, one daughter, Catherine Houck, a brother Billy, and two sisters, Joyce and Geri. Pat is survived by a son Steven Wayne Reppert and wife Debbie, seven grandchildren: Jamie, Chris, Jason, Jodie, Joshua, Jared and Jessica and twelve great grandchildren. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM, Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at the Sacred Heart Church, Mound City. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. Rosary will be prayed 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Mound City Chapel. Visitation will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Chapel. The family suggests contributions to Sacred Heart. On line condolences for the family may be left at www.schneiderfunerals.com. Arrangements: Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Mound City Chapel.

Grass fire Southwest of Butler


The Butler Fire Department responded to a grass fire around 5 miles south of 52 Highway on K Highway West of Butler around the lunch hour today.

When crews arrived on scene there was 5 acres burning, The fire was quickly contained and unit left the scene.
