Lowry City woman arrested for trafficking drugs

On Jan. 26, Brenda Nall, 42, Lowry City was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging her with a class A felony of trafficking in drugs/attempted trafficking in drugs in the second degree. Bond is set at $75,000 cash only.

The charge stems from an incident on Jan. 25 after a St. Clair County deputy and members of the Mid Missouri Multi Jurisdiction Drug Task Force conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle Nall was driving north of Lowry City. During the investigation, a drug detecting canine from the Hickory County Sheriff’s Office was called to the scene. The canine alerted on the vehicle and a search was conducted. Over 100 grams of methamphetamine was located during the search.

Appleton City man arrested on Felony warrant

On Jan. 27, Ryan Snyder, 24, Appleton City, was arrested in St. Clair County on a Henry County warrant charging him with class C felony possession of a controlled substance. The warrant was issued on Jan. 7 and stems from an incident in August 2014. Bond is set at $10,000 cash or surety. 

Two from Nevada arrested on felony drug charges

On Jan. 26, Samuel Newman,22, Nevada, and Tiffany Foster, 25, Nevada, were arrested on St. Clair County warrants charging them with class B felonies of distribution, delivery, manufacture or production of a controlled substance or attempt to or possess with intent to. Newman’s bond is set at $50,000 cash or surety and Foster’s bond is set at $15,000 cash or surety.


The charges stem from an incident on Jan. 25 after a traffic stop was conducted by the Mid Missouri Multi Jurisdiction Drug Task Force on Highway 54 east of Collins. Newman was allegedly driving the vehicle and Foster was a passenger. 

During the investigation, a drug detecting canine from the Hickory County Sheriff’s Office was called to the scene.

The canine alerted on the vehicle and a search was conducted. Over 200 grams of marijuana, a scale and plastic bags were located in the vehicle.

Obituary - Virginia J. Flanary Weber

Virginia J. Flanary Weber, 98, Adrian, Missouri, died Monday, January 26, 2015 at Adrian Manor Nursing Home in Adrian. Funeral services are pending at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville, Missouri.

News from the Harrisonville Missouri Police Department

Whenever you’re driving on I-49 in Harrisonville, particularly around the new interchange and bridge being built at the 291 exit, please remember that this is an active construction zone with lots of heavy equipment and workers in close proximity to the roadway.

Please slow down and drive with extreme caution. You can help prevent a tragedy when you take a thoughtful and patient attitude about driving through this area.


The same goes for driving in the construction on MO-291 around Millwalk Mall, Commercial Street, Rockhaven Road and Wal Mart.

Vernon County Sheriffs Office Press Release: Burglar caught stealing, drugs found in search warrant‏

Vernon County Deputies responding to a call of trespassing and possible burglary in progress on County Road 1244 apprehended a suspect at the scene Thursday afternoon. According to a press release from the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office, Daniel A Crawford, 34 of Walker was taken into custody along with a second person whose name has not yet been released. Vernon County Sheriff Jason Mosher said information was obtained from the burglary investigation that lead to two separate search warrants being served over the weekend. “We seized a large amount of methamphetamines and a truck load of stolen property during the two search warrants.”

Sheriff Mosher said the owner of the property has already identified the stolen items but the Sheriff declined to release his name. Felony warrants for Possession of a Controlled Substance, 2nd degree Burglary, along with a misdemeanor warrant for 2nd degree property damage were issued with a bond of $11,500 cash only. Mosher said the original call was called in by the property owner. “The owner was being vigilant and watching his property and contacted us when he noticed someone on his land. I’m just glad the deputies were able to get there fast enough to catch them.

.” The Sheriff said there could still be additional charges relating to this case but said he could not release any more information at this time.

Two arrested on felony burglary charges in St. Clair County

On Jan. 23, Daniel Chiles, 37, Deepwater, and Shawn King, 36, Clinton, were arrested on St. Clair County warrants charging them with burglary-second degree, a class C felony, and theft/stealing, a class A misdemeanor. Bond is set at $10,000.00 cash or surety on each in individual.

The charges stem from an incident in the early morning hours the same day when St. Clair County deputies were dispatched to a call in reference to two male subjects on a four wheeler carrying a water heater near NE 1301 Road, Osceola. The investigation discovered the water heater was stolen from a house owned by Robert Chambers.
