Weather Update: Chance for light snow Sunday

Here is the initial forecast for snow totals on Sunday!

However, before we get to that, today will be the warmest of the next 7 days as highs will be in the upper 30s to mid 40s under partly sunny skies.

A cold front will move through the area late tonight into tomorrow morning bringing colder temperatures and perhaps making it necessary to snuggle with your Valentine to stay warm as highs will only reach the 20s to mid 30s on Saturday. Saturday night temperatures will drop into the single digits and lower teens setting the stage for snow on Sunday.

Snow will begin early Sunday morning across northwestern Missouri and spread southeastward across the area during the morning hours. Accumulations of 1 to 2 inches are expected with heavier amounts possible across central and southern Missouri. Snow will exit the area late Sunday night. Highs Sunday will be in the teens to lower 20s.
