Harrisonville woman injured in St. Clair County Crash

On 2/28/15 around 12:55 p.m. The Missouri State Highway Patrol in St. Clair County responded to a 1 vehicle accident on Mo 13 Highway 2 miles North of Lowry City.

The accident occurred when the 2002 Ford Ranger pickup truck driven by 67 year old Penelope S. Rush of Harrisonville, Missouri was South bound on Mo 13 Highway when she lost control of her vehicle and overturned.

She was taken to Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton, Mo by private vehicle. The injuries that she received are listed as minor. The vehicle was totaled and towed from the scene Mike's Wrecker Service of Collins, Missouri.

Obituary - Janet Pauline (Lee) Vannatta Zeigler

Janet Pauline (Lee) Vannatta Zeigler, 79 of Clinton, Missouri passed away February 28, 2015 at Golden Living Westwood in Clinton. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at the Mullinax Funeral Home – Drexel Chapel (660) 679-0009. Visitation will be prior to services from 10-11 at the chapel. Burial will be in Sharon Cemetery near Drexel. Contributions are suggested to Children’s Mercy Hospital. Messages of condolence for the family may be left at www.mullinaxfuneralhome.com.

Weather Update: Round #1 Ending this evening....

Round #1 will gradually taper off over the next few hours (possibly another 3-5 hours for those of you in mid-MO), followed by another round of light snow late tonight into early Sunday morning.

Here's how much snow you can expect through midnight (including what's already on the ground), and how much could fall with round #2. While it says 1" to 2" for tonight and tomorrow, most areas will probably be closer to 1".

BYBSA baseball, softball and t-ball sign ups start this week

BYBSA Baseball, Softball and Tball signups will be Wednesday, March 4 & 11 and Thursday, March 5 & 12 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the red shed at the Bates Co. Fair Grounds. You must have turned 4 years old by January 1st to play Tball. Tball-6th grade cost $35. Jr and Sr League cost $40.
