City of Butler names new City Administrator


On Tuesday night March 17th, The Butler City Council voted unanimously to appoint Casey Koehn to the City Administrator position.

Mrs. Koehn has gladly accepted the position and will do the best job that she can for the Mayor, Council, employees and citizens of Butler. Casey Koehn was currently the City Clerk and acting City Administrator.

Mid America Live would like to congratulate Casey Koehn on her new position. We know you will do a great job for everyone in the community.

Reminder: City of Butler Scheduled Power Outage

The City of Butler is scheduling a power outage on March 26th, 2015 between the hours of 11:00 p.m.to Midnight. 

The purpose of this outage is for routine maintenance of the generation equipment at the City of Butler Electric Generation Plant.

The Electric disruption should be limited to a few minutes. The City of Butler would like to apologize for any inconvenience, and thank you for your patience in this matter.

St. Clair County Sheriffs Office: Warrant arrest

William Brassfield
On March 19, William Brassfield, 26, Kansas City, was arrested in Osceola on a misdemeanor warrant from El Dorado Spring Police Department charging him with contempt of court. Bond is set at $540.50 cash only. The warrant was issued on Feb. 24.

Rich Hill School District: Run for cover 5K

Rich Hill School District is in the middle of an exciting building project. The district has obtained a grant from FEMA to build the structure of a Safe Room Dome that will also be used as a gymnasium. However funds are still needed to complete the interior. "Run for Cover" is a 5K run/walk organized to help raise funds for completion of this project. This will be a fun event on a Sunday afternoon that will also benefit your community and school. Everyone save the date May 3rd, 2015 at 1:00 p.m!
