On March 20, 2015, MO Representative Patricia Pike spoke to the Miami R-1 student body about the history and famous people of Missouri.  Rep. Pike’s presentation was enhanced by a Power Point on Missouri’s attributes.  Students were given the opportunity to ask questions.  Jaclyn Crawford was presented an award by Rep. Pike as an honorary page from the state legislature.  Ms. Crawford had participated in FCCLA’s MO Legislative Shadowing project in February with Rep. Pike.

After the student assembly, FCCLA Officers Jaclyn Crawford, Caitlin Slattery, Shelley Kaufman, and Kara Goddard escorted Rep. Pike on a tour of both the elementary and high schools.
