Man wanted on Felony Parole Violation with U.S. Extradition and a officer involved shooting in Missouri

Carl Roettgen
On Wednesday, 05-13-2015 at approximately 8:14 p.m. Marshall Police Officers received information Carl Clayton Roettgen, who is wanted for a Felony Parole Violation with full U.S. Extradition, age 31 of Marshall, Missouri, was currently on the Wal-Mart parking lot inside a black in color, 2006, Chrysler 300.

Officers located Roettgen’s vehicle and positioned their patrol car behind Roettgen’s vehicle. While officers were attempting to make contact with Roettgen he put the car into gear in an attempt to flee from them and in the process almost ran over officers.

One officer was able to enter through the passenger side car door in an attempt to stop the vehicle by placing the car into park and removing the keys from the ignition, however, Roettgen pulled a firearm and pointed it at the officer’s head and pulled the trigger. The firearm did not discharge and the officer exited the vehicle and returned fire, shooting one round into the vehicle.

Roettgen was able to maneuver his vehicle away from the patrol vehicle and was last seen driving north on U.S. Highway 65.

Note: Charges contained in reports provided by law enforcement officials are not evidence of guilt. Evidence supporting charges must be presented before a jury, whose duty is to determine if the accused is guilty or not guilty of the charges.

If you see Carl Roettgen please call your local authorities!
