1 vehicle accident in Butler

Around 11:20 a.m. This Afternoon The Butler Police Department along with the Butler Fire Department responded to a 1 vehicle accident at 505 East Mill Street in Butler.

The female driver was taken to the Bates County Memorial for treatment for her injuries.

Clinton Police Department Arrest Report

  • 23 year old Franklin Alex Keith of Clinton was arrested Thursday at 5:18am at Rogers and Water streets for a felony warrant from another jurisdiction.
  • 22 year old Colton James Kelly of Clinton was arrested at Golden Valley Memorial Hospital Thursday at 11:43am for felony resisting arrest.
  • On Thursday at 1:05pm at the Golden Valley Medical Plaza, 23 year old Kristina Kay Nall of Clinton was arrested for failing to appear upon arrest and summons.
  • 25 year old Austin Eugene Green of Clinton was arrested Friday at 12:10am at Kristine and Katherine avenues for Clinton municipal warrants.

Kingsville Man injured in Cass County Motorcycle Crash

On 5/15/15 around 1:50 p.m. The Missouri State Highway Patrol in Cass County responded to a 1 vehicle accident on Westbound Route W, 0.5 miles West of Route E in Rural Cass County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2013 Victory Motorcycle driven by 57 year old John R. Greer of Kingsville, Missouri was Westbound on Route W when he struck a patch of mowed grass in the roadway, losing control of the motorcycle and overturning before being ejected from the motorcycle.


Mr. Greer was taken by ambulance to Centerpoint Hospital in Pleasant Hill, Missouri with moderate injuries. The bike was totaled a towed from the scene by Stevers Tow.

BREAKING NEWS: Vernon County Sheriffs Office Update: Gabriel Goss in custody

Breaking News out of Vernon County this evening Gabriel Goss has been taken into custody by the Fort Scott Kansas Police Department. 

Mr.Goss has multiple warrants in Vernon County stemming from several investigations of stealing from cars.

Missouri State Highway Patrol Arrest Report: Clinton Man Arrested

On 5/15/15 around 6:50 p.m. The Missouri State Highway Patrol in Henry County arrested 22 year old Joshua M. Laisure of Clinton, Missouri.

Mr. Laisure was arrested on 1.)Driving while Intoxicated - Alcohol 2.) Careless and Imprudent Driving 3.) Speeding.


He was booked into the Henry County Jail and placed on a $500 Cash/Surety Bond.

Funnel Cloud Spotted just North of Belton Today

The photo shows a NWS confirmed funnel cloud just North of Belton,Missouri this afternoon. 

Storm Spotters report a brief touchdown, but it has not been confirmed by NWS at this time. 


No damage has been reported.

Pop Rock Band The Fray Completes State Fair Concert Line-Up

SEDALIA, Mo. –Missouri State Fair Director Mark Wolfe announced today that pop rock band The Fray will be closing out the Fair’s 2015 Pepsi Grandstand Concert Series on Saturday, Aug. 22. Opening for The Fray will be Andy Grammer.


Tickets will be available to the public starting June 17 through Ticketmaster.
“The addition of this final show will provide a varied mix of music for concertgoers,” Wolfe said. “I feel like we have a great line-up this year with something for everyone including country, contemporary Christian, classic and pop rock.”
The Fray is an award-winning pop rock band from Denver that got its start in the early 2000s and has since celebrated many accolades for their music including world-wide fame for their second single, “How to Save a Life.” Their second album, released in 2009, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard charts and was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Pop Vocal Album in 2010.
Concert opener Andy Grammer’s first two singles “Keep Your Head Up” and “Fine By Me” both were certified Platinum and Gold respectively. Tickets for the Saturday, Aug. 22 show start at $20.
Previously released concerts for the 2015 Missouri State Fair include The Happy Together 2015 Tour featuring The Turtles with Flo and Eddie, The Association, Former Lead Singer of Paul Revere and The Raiders Mark Lindsay, The Grass Roots, The Buckinghams and The Cowsills on Aug. 13; Def Leppard with Styx and Tesla on Aug. 14; Justin Moore with Easton Corbin on Aug. 15; John Michael Montgomery with Belles and Whistles on Aug. 18; Gary Allan with The Swon Brothers on Aug. 19; Casting Crowns with I Am They on Aug. 20; and Alabama with Michael Ray on Aug. 21. Missing Stilwell teen found safe, Sheriff's Office says

Rachel Pires
Missing teenager Rachel Pires has been found safe, according to the Johnson County Sheriff's Office. Ms. Pires, 17, disappeared last week after leaving her home in Stilwell, Kansas.

Authorities asked for help finding her because she takes medication and did not have it with her at the time. 

The Sheriff's Office did not release any other information about where Pires was found.
