The Kansas City Police Department is currently looking for 41-year-old Melissa Doyle, who has not been seen since about 11 a.m. May 18. She was last seen in the 2600 block of N.E. 47th Terrace.

Melissa is a white female who is 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs about 135 pounds. She was last seen wearing a pink American Eagle zip-up sweatshirt. She is mentally ill, and her family is worried about her.

Enrollment for Butler School District Pre-School

The Butler School District is now enrolling for Pre-school for 2015 – 2016. The Butler School District is pleased to announce the opening of an additional pre-school classroom for the 2015-16 school year.

This classroom will be half day, and parents will have the option of sending their child 5, 4, or 2 days per week. There are limited spaces and enrollment is based on a first come basis. There is a small fee to attend this program.

Applications may be picked up through June in the elementary office. Please call 660-679-6591 extension 166 for information.

Attempt to locate: 64 y/o Earnest Cook driving a dark blue 2001 Peterbilt semi truck, AR license 554369 pulling a white 2001 trailer, Arkansas license 114580. 

The subject left Goodman, Missouri at 0100 today in route to Kansas City via I-49, has not arrived and company unable to contact him.

If located advise him to call in to his company.

Obituary - Louise Ramsey

Graveside services for Louise Ramsey will be 10 a.m. Friday, May 29, 2015 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Butler, Missouri with Pastor Ron Dunlap officiating. There is no visitation. Services under the direction of the Schowengerdt Funeral Chapel (660-679-6555) in Butler, Missouri. 

Louise Ramsey, age 95 of Butler, Missouri died Sunday, May 17, 2015 at Medicalodge Nursing Center in Butler. She was born February 24, 1920 to Albert and Luella Sims Edrington in Bates County, Missouri. 

Louise is survived by her daughter, Vicki Daniel and husband Alan of Butler, Missouri; one sister, Jacqueline Edrington of Blue Springs, Missouri; and nephews, nieces and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one daughter, Paula Ramsey; one brother, John Leslie Edrington; one sister, Naomi Machen; and a granddaughter, Michelle Lea “Missy” Stevener.

James Miller, 78 of Virginia, MO passed away Friday May 22nd at his home.


Jim's wishes were to be cremated and there are no scheduled services at this time. They will be announced at a later date by the Schowengerdt Funeral Chapel of Butler.
