He structure of origin sustained heavy fire damage. There was also some damage from radiant heat to the residence at 405 W. Ohio.

Obituary - Terry Edward Winn

Terry Winn
Terry Winn passed away June 25, 2015 at his home in Archie, MO. Terry was born June 8, 1945 to Corbin E. Winn and Irene Timora in Denver, CO.

Terry was a 1963 graduate of Lee’s Summit High School. Shortly after graduation Terry joined the U.S. Navy where he was assigned to an aircraft carrier, the U.S.S. Bennington. Most of his working career Terry worked as a truck driver delivering lumber. Terry was also an avid bowler, bowling several nights a week until his health would no longer allow it. Patriotism was also a big part of Terry’s life. He was a member of American Legion Post 1000 and a former member of the VFW. While in the VFW Post 1935 he served as Post Commander for two terms. He even took his turn at playing Santa Claus for the VFW children’s Christmas party, enjoying every minute of it. For several summers Terry patiently chauffeured his wife, mother in-law, father in-law and grandchildren all over the United States on vacations. One of the biggest highlights of these travels for him was visiting the Viet Nam Memorial Wall in Washington D.C. In more recent years he enjoyed being outside working in his yard. Terry also loved animals, having many pets over the years.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents, Corbin and Irene Winn, three brothers, Gary Winn, Jerry Winn and Larry Winn and one grandson, Nicholas Jones and his father in-law and mother in-law, Charles and Joan Maloney.
