The Adrian Fire Department will be testing storm sirens today between 3 and 4 pm. There may be multiple tests of the sirens conducted during this time.

BREAKING NEWS: Two more arrested in Nevada bar disturbance

On Wednesday, October 7, 2015 The Vernon County Associate Circuit Court issued two more arrest warrants in relation to the disturbance that occurred at Ol’ Subway in the early morning hours of October 4, 2015.

Nevada Police took into custody a 30 year old El Dorado Springs resident identified as, William Kutina. He was placed into the Vernon County Jail on his warrant for assault 3rd degree.
 

Nevada Police worked with the Cedar County Sheriff’s Office on making the arrest of a third subject.

Cedar County law enforcement reported to Nevada Police that they had taken into custody 31 year old, Stockton resident, Zachary Fencl, he is being held in the Cedar County Jail for assault 3rd degree.

Kutina and Fencl are both being held on $2,500 cash only bonds.

Harrisonville man arrested in Cass County

Around 3:02 p.m. this afternoon the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Cass County arrested 26 year old Noel C. Bailey of Harrisonville, Missouri.

Mr. Bailey was arrested for 1.)Felony - Possession of a controlled substance - Prescription Drugs 2.) Possession of drug paraphernalia 3. Excessive speed.


He was booked into the Cass County Jail and later released.

Deepwater man injured while working on a vehicle

Around 4:30 p.m. this afternoon the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Benton County along with the Benton County Fire Department responded to 13979 Missouri 7 Highway on a report of a man injured while working on a vehicle.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when 19 year old Richie E. Perry of Deepwater, Missouri was working on a 1990 Dodge when the vehicle became engaged and rolled forward pinning Mr. Perry between the vehicle and a fence post.


Mr. Perry sustained moderate injuries in this accident and was transported to Golden Valley Memorial Hospital by private vehicle.

Bates County crash injures two from Drexel

Four people escaped serious injury in a two vehicle accident Tuesday afternoon in Bates County. 

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol the accident occurred at about 3:45 P.M. Tuesday afternoon on Northwest County Road 16002 at Northwest County Road 14001, in rural Bates County.

According to the accident report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol the accident happened when the 1992 Ford driven by 40 year old Jason Parks of Drexel, Missouri was traveling Northbound when he struck the side of a 1999 Buick driven by 23 year old Brittany Owings, of LaCygne, Kansas. 


Jason Parks and Brittany Owings were both listed with no injury. 

A passenger in the Park's vehicle 12 year old Kristen M.Parks sustained minor injuries in this accident and was taken to Bates County Memorial Hospital by private vehicle.

Another passenger in the Park's vehicle 31 year old Rosamarie R. Tucker of Drexel, Missouri sustained minor injuries but refused medical treatment at the scene. 


Both of the vehicles were driven from the scene.
