The Lord’s Acre Day BBQ and Auction was held on Saturday, November 7, a tradition by the Methodist Men that has been carried on for 70 Years. The event was filled with delicious food, lots of fun and fellowship. The highlight of the auction was when Larry Hacker sat down in front of the little boys that had been helping with the auction, ages 7 & 8 and they begin a bidding war on a set of MU glasses that they had been eyeing the whole time. Caden Cooke, Nate Harris and Isaac Irwin were in full steam, and then it was just down to Nate and Isaac. Finally Pastor Eric threw in a 50 to help with the purchase of the glasses and both Dads Mike Harris and Jason Irwin pitched in the rest. The boys ended up each taking a glass and each little boy had the biggest grin you could imagine. Oleta Davidson donated and a beautiful hand quilted quilt that brought $1,700.00. Larry Hacker was our auctioneer along with his wife Loretta who helped did a great job.

Matt and Kristy Brooks, Clayton and Brittney Brooks and children, Everett and Karen Irwin, Jean Zinn, Jeffrey Irwin, Erika Snider and Lane attended the wedding of Kylie Mclay and Myles Brattin on Saturday evening, November 7 at Happy Hill Church of God. Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Myles Brattin.
