Archie man injured in Johnson County crash
Around 3:35 p.m.yesterday the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Johnson County along with the Johnson County Sheriffs Department responded to a one vehicle accident on Missouri 58 Highway East of County Road SW 1521 in rural Johnson County.The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 1999 Chrysler Town and Country mini van driven by 47 year old Jeffrey R. Craig of Archie, Missouri was traveling Westbound through a curve when he traveled off the right side of the roadway, overcorrected before traveling off the left side of the roadway and overturning.
Mr. Craig sustained minor injures in this accident and was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg, Missouri.
The vehicle was totaled and towed from the scene by Reeds Tow.

Man killed in Fatality accident in Cass County
Around 11:42 a.m. this morning the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Cass County along with Cass and St. Clair County Sheriffs Deputies responded to a one vehicle fatality accident on Missouri 7 Highway just South of 219th Street in rural Cass County.The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 1996 Ford driven by 73 year old Roy G. Kauffman of Pleasant Hill, Missouri traveled off the roadway, struck a signpost and ditch the culvert before coming to rest.
Mr. Kauffman was pronounced dead at 11:58 a.m.by Central Cass Paramedic E. Myler, His body was transported by the Jackson County Medical Examiner.
This is Troop A of the Missouri State Highway Patrol's 54 Fatality accident of 2015.

Jeffrey was born February 13, 1968 in Kansas City, Missouri the son of Michael and Kathleen (Russell) Borucki. He graduated from Grandview High School. He lived in the Kansas City area his whole life and worked as a chef in various restaurants.
Jeffrey is survived by his mother, Kathy Greuter of Freeman, Missouri; his father, Michael Borucki of Kansas City, Missouri; one son, Jeffrey of Kansas City, Missouri; and two grandchildren.

Margaret was a lifetime resident of Vernon County. She was raised in the Walker area and attended school there. She was later employed by Key Work Clothes in Nevada for over 30 years until her retirement. As a child Margaret attended Berea Christian Church and in later years attended Horton Methodist Church. She especially loved being with her family and many friends.
Survivors include one daughter, Earlene Butler and her husband Howard, Nevada; one granddaughter, Terri Meyer and her husband Dick, Utah; two great-grandsons, Jason Claspill, Nevada, and Justin Claspill, Oklahoma City, OK; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands, two sisters, two brothers, and great-grand dog “Charlie”.
Graveside services will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, December 4, 2015 at Newton Burial Park in Nevada with Lawrence Cripps officiating. Friends may call now and until 1:30 p.m. on Friday at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada.
Those who wish may contribute in her memory to the Salvation Army or Horton Methodist Church in c/o Ferry Funeral Home.

Edith Lucene White, age 95 of Butler, Missouri died Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at Breezy Meadows in Butler. She was born June 19, 1920 to Roy Castle and Stella Ritchey Baker in Butler.
Edith is survived by her daughter, Margaret Alexander and husband Jim of Russellville, Arkansas; six grandchildren, Pat Stevens and husband Terry, Rejena Hairston and husband Eddie, David Alexander, Joel Alexander, Kimberly Russell and husband Robert and Patrick White and wife Jenessa; and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Ernest; and one son, Kenneth.

Tommy was born to William and Terry (Decker) Hartley on August 28, 1986 in Independence, Missouri. He graduated from Calhoun High School in 2006, attended Tulsa Welding School, and completed a two year pipefitters apprenticeship. Tommy loved the "Blues" and played the guitar. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Tommy enjoyed working with his chainsaw and welder. He loved all things "Harley Davidson". Tommy loved his friends, they were like his brothers and sister to him. He cherished his time with his wife and children. He was always willing to help anyone at anytime.
Tommy was preceded in death by his grandparents; step-father, Donald "Star" Hanks; and uncle, Bob Hartley.
He is survived by his wife Amanda (Kimzey) Hartley; sons, Gunner Keeran, Keegan Hartley, and Kayden Hartley; parents, Terry and Bill Hartley; sister, Tammi Shaffer; niece and nephew, Lyric and Chord Shaffer.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Vansant-Mills Funeral Home, Clinton, Missouri.

Nevada Police Department Make Arrests in Auto Theft

A subsequent search by law enforcement was conducted and Police located the stolen vehicle driving down the street at about 9:20 pm near Walnut and Washington Streets. The vehicle was under the control of three suspect occupants. Police stopped the stolen vehicle and took all three occupants into custody, recovered the stolen car, and later returned the vehicle to the owner. The three car thieves were identified as follows:
1. Bryor Richard Green – a 17 year old Nevada resident
2. William Ray Howard III – An 18 year old Nevada resident
3. Juvenile #1 – a 16 year old Juvenile from Springfield, Missouri
The adult subjects were booked into the County Jail. Arrest Warrants were issued on the two adults by the Vernon County Associate Court as follows:
- Bryor Green - Tampering w/ a Motor Vehicle, 1st Degree, a Class C Felony – Held on $5,000 Cash or Surety bond
- William Ray Howard III – Tampering w/a Motor Vehicle, 2nd Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor – Held on $1,000 Cash or Surety Bond
- Juvenile #1 – Released to Juvenile Authorities.
