Obituary - Winona Lucille William


Winona Lucille William, age 79 years, of Lowry City passed away on December 8, 2015 at Citizens Memorial Healthcare, Boliver, Missouri. Visitation will take place December 12, 2015 from 10:00-11:00 AM. Graveside service will follow at Kidd's Cemetery in Lowry City, Missouri at 11:30 AM. Family suggests memorial contributions be made to the National Stroke Association or charity of your choice and may be left in care of the funeral home. Lucille was born July 19, 1936 to Loyd and Vallah (Prier) Warner west of Lowry City in Ohio, Missouri. After graduating from Osceola High, Lucille worked for Sear and Roebuck in Kansas City and transferred to Golden, Colorado. She greatly enjoyed her time there.

Lucille married William "Bill" A. Williams in October of 1972 and to this union a daughter was born. The family moved back to the Lowry City area in 1980. Lucille successfully juggled full-time motherhood with breeding quality American Quarter Horses and purebred dogs, which she continued for over thirty years.

While Lucille enjoyed gardening, classic country-western, oil painting, reading westerns, and teaching young people about horses and riding, and life in general. Her great loves were her family, her Quarter Horses, and her Welch Corgies.

Lucille was a member of The Flemington Methodist Church and The Shawnee Mound Cumberland. She was a believer in Gods word and believed he knew her heart no matter where she sat.

Lucille was preceded in death by her parents, Loyd and Vallah Warner; husband, William A. Williams; brother, Loyd Warner and son Ronald Eugene.

She is survived by her daughter, Susan Williams Caudell and husband Tim of Malvern, Arkansas; sister-in-law, Anna Jones of Oakgrove, Missouri; nephews, Dennis Jones of Kansas City, Kansas, and William "Bill" Jones (Darlene) of Bates City, Missouri; niece, Twyla (Tom) Peterson of Independence, Missouri; her dear "sister" Linda (David) Fears of Long Lane, Missouri and numerous cousins and a blessed number of friends.

Archie man injured in Johnson County crash

Around 3:35 p.m.yesterday the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Johnson County along with the Johnson County Sheriffs Department responded to a one vehicle accident on Missouri 58 Highway East of County Road SW 1521 in rural Johnson County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 1999 Chrysler Town and Country mini van driven by 47 year old Jeffrey R. Craig of Archie, Missouri was traveling Westbound through a curve when he traveled off the right side of the roadway, overcorrected before traveling off the left side of the roadway and overturning.

Mr. Craig sustained minor injures in this accident and was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg, Missouri.

The vehicle was totaled and towed from the scene by Reeds Tow.

Man killed in Fatality accident in Cass County

Around 11:42 a.m. this morning the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Cass County along with Cass and St. Clair County Sheriffs Deputies responded to a one vehicle fatality accident on Missouri 7 Highway just South of 219th Street in rural Cass County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 1996 Ford driven by 73 year old Roy G. Kauffman of Pleasant Hill, Missouri traveled off the roadway, struck a signpost and ditch the culvert before coming to rest.

Mr. Kauffman was pronounced dead at 11:58 a.m.by Central Cass Paramedic E. Myler, His body was transported by the Jackson County Medical Examiner.

This is Troop A of the Missouri State Highway Patrol's 54 Fatality accident of 2015.

Jeffrey W. Borucki, 47, Kansas City, Missouri died December 3, 2015. A Graveside service will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at the Freeman Cemetery, Freeman, Missouri.

Jeffrey was born February 13, 1968 in Kansas City, Missouri the son of Michael and Kathleen (Russell) Borucki. He graduated from Grandview High School. He lived in the Kansas City area his whole life and worked as a chef in various restaurants.

Jeffrey is survived by his mother, Kathy Greuter of Freeman, Missouri; his father, Michael Borucki of Kansas City, Missouri; one son, Jeffrey of Kansas City, Missouri; and two grandchildren.

Margaret Ketterman, 96, Nevada, MO passed from this life on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at Moore-Few Care Center in Nevada following a brief illness. Margaret was born June 16, 1919 in Vernon County, MO to Benjamin Perry and Minnie (Saathoff) Thompson. She was united in marriage to Earl Swope who preceded her in death in 1970. Margaret later married Finis Ketterman and they were married for 24 years before his passing.

Margaret was a lifetime resident of Vernon County. She was raised in the Walker area and attended school there. She was later employed by Key Work Clothes in Nevada for over 30 years until her retirement. As a child Margaret attended Berea Christian Church and in later years attended Horton Methodist Church. She especially loved being with her family and many friends.

Survivors include one daughter, Earlene Butler and her husband Howard, Nevada; one granddaughter, Terri Meyer and her husband Dick, Utah; two great-grandsons, Jason Claspill, Nevada, and Justin Claspill, Oklahoma City, OK; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands, two sisters, two brothers, and great-grand dog “Charlie”.

Graveside services will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, December 4, 2015 at Newton Burial Park in Nevada with Lawrence Cripps officiating. Friends may call now and until 1:30 p.m. on Friday at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada.

Those who wish may contribute in her memory to the Salvation Army or Horton Methodist Church in c/o Ferry Funeral Home.

Edith Lucene White, age 95 of Butler, Missouri died Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at Breezy Meadows in Butler. She was born June 19, 1920 to Roy Castle and Stella Ritchey Baker in Butler.

Edith is survived by her daughter, Margaret Alexander and husband Jim of Russellville, Arkansas; six grandchildren, Pat Stevens and husband Terry, Rejena Hairston and husband Eddie, David Alexander, Joel Alexander, Kimberly Russell and husband Robert and Patrick White and wife Jenessa; and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Ernest; and one son, Kenneth.
